7 Gold Gigablox Review
We were quite impressed by a previous Gigablox release. 7 Gold Gigablox comes with a more bland classic style presentation, but the 70,000x potential is still way above average. Featurewise, the two games are very similar, but you get instant scatter prizes in this installment.
It kind of feels like the developer has decided to play it safe with this effort, at least in terms of the theme, but the gameplay is still engaging and somewhat daring. You get 3 In-Reel modifiers in all stages, and these can be expected more frequently in the bonus round. Time will tell if 7 Gold Gigablox delivers big wins.
7 Gold Gigablox Slot Features
You get Gigablox up to 6x6 in size per spin, and they split into 1x1 sized symbols if part of a win or when triggering features. The premium symbols pay between 0.4 and 2 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the Star Wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins. The wild holds no value of its own, however, and glass symbols appear as blocker tiles in the base game.
You get 3 so-called In-Reel Features that trigger at random times, and these are as follows:
- Light Reveal - turns all glass symbols into pay symbols for a guaranteed win.
- Lights Shuffle - shuffles the reels for a guaranteed win.
- Giga Summon - awards a gigablox reel of at least size 4x4.
You can land Gold 7 scatters in all stages, and you need at least 5 in view to win the corresponding prize from the Gold 7 Ladder. 5, 6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-25 or 36 Gold 7 symbols award prizes of 1x, 5x, 15x, 30x, 100x, 300x, 1,000x, 3,000x, 10,000x or 70,000x your stake, respectively.
The Bonus Round triggers from 5+ scatters in view, and you get the same amount of free spins as you landed triggering scatters. There are no glass blocker symbols in the bonus round, and you are guaranteed to trigger at least one giga summons or light shuffle during the feature. You get +1 extra spin per scatter that lands in the bonus round.
Non-UK players can buy the bonus round, and 5, 10 or 20 free spins costs 60x, 120x and 240x your stake, respectively. You can also purchase a Giga Summon spin for 150x the stake, but beware that glass blocker symbols can appear when you buy this feature.
The 200 Spins 7 Gold Gigablox Slot Experience
You get to see a few wins in the base game, before we purchase 20 free spins from the bonus buy menu. This occurs around 0:40 into the 7-minute highlights video, and we got extra spins that prolonged the feature. You can check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
If you are looking for a similar game with far more engaging visuals, you can always go for 90K Yeti Gigablox instead. It comes with a higher 90,000x potential as well, and it has proven itself in terms of larger payouts. 7 Gold Gigablox comes across as a weaker cousin in comparison, with its glossy fruit slot presentation and somewhat lower potential. It’s hard to complain about 70,000x though, so this is still a pretty solid release in its own right.
The glass tiles create a dynamic grid experience combined with the gigablox, and the instant prizes are way above what you find most similar releases. The random In-Reel modifiers keep the base game alive and kicking, and they are more likely to trigger during the bonus round where all glass tiles are removed. We prefer 90K Yeti Gigablox over this to be honest, but 7 Gold Gigablox is a solid release in the classic-inspired slot genre.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 3 random In-Reel modifier features | Similar to other Gigablox game |
| Instant scatter prizes up to 70,000x | Beware of adjustable RTP ranges |
| FS w/ more frequent modifiers |
