It’s probably no coincidence that releases come with a number at the start of the title, as this is a “sneaky” way to rank high on slots sorted alphabetically. 3 Lucky Leprechauns is no exception in that regard, and it takes you into a colorful fantasy world where Leprechauns enjoy their carefree life at the end of the rainbow. You get to choose 1 of 3 of them for the wild symbol, including a female, which is somewhat unusual.

It makes no difference for the gameplay though, which is centered around the Leprechaun Trail seen on the left-hand side. The bottom comes with lower cash prizes, and the higher you climb the better stuff is awarded. In the middle you get a different number of Win Spins, and above that you get a different number of prize picks. The premium symbols pay between 8 and 30x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and you can choose between 3 different leprechaun characters for the Wild symbol. It makes no difference except visually, as all 3 characters act like regular wilds stepping in for pay symbols to help complete wins.

The Leprechaun Trail seen on the left is activated when you land at least 3 bonus symbols in view, and you start out at the bottom of the trail from 3 bonus symbols. A random pick is made per level, and this will either land you on an upward pointing level-up arrow, or on the level’s prize. The feature ends when you land on a prize at any given level, and here is an overview of what you stand to win:

• 1 to 5 Chest Picks in the Pick A Win feature, and each pick awards a cash prize.

You can choose to take a cash prize instead if you win Win Spins or Picks, and this cash prize is equal to the average win from either of the features. The prizes in the Pick Game varied between 75 and 400 x the stake in our test session, but the paytable says prizes between 5 and 2,000x are possible from this feature.

Finally, non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can take advantage of the Bonus Buy menu. It comes with 3 options, and you can pay 35x your stake to get 3 to 5 triggering scatters for the Trail feature. You truly feel like you’re entering into a world where anything is possible, and the Leprechaun Trail is somewhat innovative as well. The higher you climb, the better prizes or features you will get, and each trigger will raise your pulse a few notches.

This is not least the case if you get more than the minimum of 3 triggering bonus symbols, and climbing all the way to the top cracks the 5,000x potential there and then. The Win Spins feature turned out to be quite lucrative for us, and we came out of it with a decent profit. It was easy to be charmed by the jolly vibe of 3 Lucky Leprechauns, and this release has the potential to climb the popularity chart of this crowded genre.
