They had less than 20 released slots to their name when the White Tiger slot was released. In other words, this review is about a slot that an ambitious studio launched as one of its first games. Is it any good, then? Well, we’ll find that out in due time, and there’s no better place to start than the game’s playing field. It’s entirely classic, featuring 5 reels, 3 rows and 50 paylines.

The setting of White Tiger is then fairly original, as you’ll be taken to a winter scenery that’s apparently somewhere in Asia. That’s also evident from the game’s symbols, which are – unfortunately – nowhere near as original, and we have to add that the slot’s overall production values are only just about average.

Let’s now turn our attention to the math model of White Tiger. Its volatility is medium, and its hit frequency clocks in at 25%. The non-jackpot max win is 2,400x one’s bet, and you can dip in for stakes between £0.50 and £15. There are 11 pay symbols to be found on the slot’s reels, and they are divided into 6 low-paying symbols and 5 high-paying symbols. For the former, there are card ranks from Nines to Aces, and they pay up to 1x your bet for a set. Then, there are lanterns, koi fish, golden coins, trinkets, and dragon heads. Dragon heads are worth the most, and you’ll get 10x your bet for a five-of-a-kind combination.

Aside from pay symbols, there are also three special symbols in White Tiger. Specifically, there are Emperor Wilds, White Tiger Scatters, and Moon Scatters. Emperor Wilds can substitute for any of the pay symbols, though they can appear only on the middle three reels. White Tiger Scatters and Moon Scatters, meanwhile, are your tickets to the slot’s bonus features.

Finding 3 or more White Scatters on the reels triggers the Pick-n-Play feature, which will allow you to choose between free spins and the Sky Gods feature. If you decide to go for the free spins option, you’ll get 10 free spins with additional Wild symbols. Retriggers are possible, but you can’t trigger the Sky Gods feature from a free spin.

To get to the Sky Gods feature, you have to land 3+ Moon Scatters or pick that option in the Pick-n-Play feature. The actual feature then has 3 separate stages, and there are bigger prizes available as you go through them. In the first stage, you have to land as many symbols as possible during respins. If you fill the entire reduced 3x3 board with symbols, you’ll move to the second stage.

In that stage, you can get various bonuses and even unlock the final and third stage by getting any win on the newly unlocked reel 4. In the third stage, you can get not only win multipliers for your feature wins, but also 3 progressive jackpots, so that’s the end goal to hope for!

Review Summary

To sum things up, White Tiger is an online slot with both pluses and minuses. We certainly enjoy its original setting and fun gameplay features, but it’s quite hard to appreciate its production values, boring symbols, and somewhat rough math model. It’s certainly a good start for the catalog, however, and we wish the studio the best of luck!
