Wanted Wildz Review
The Wild West genre is like a saloon filled with grizzled alpha gunslingers and different levels of wannabes, and each new installment that wanders in will be thoroughly vetted for any sign of weakness. Wanted Wildz will soon find its place in the hierarchy, and it’s gritty enough to compete at the highest levels.
Will it outalpha the likes of Dead or Alive or Deadwood? Probably not, but it does build on the DoA recipe while adding to it. You get random multipliers assigned to winning wilds at random times, and the sticky wild bonus round is all about the wild multiplier progression. It adds up to a very enjoyable experience, and it’s well worth checking out.
Wanted Wildz Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 5 and 25 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Sheriff Star is the top-tier regular pay symbol. The skeleton bandit is the Wild symbol, and it steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins. The Wild pays 50x your stake if you land 5 on a payline, but it does not pay for less than that.
A Random Wild Multiplier feature can kick in at any given time in the base game, and it gives any wild used in a win a multiplier value of x2, x5, x25 or x100. The multiplier values do not accumulate if more than one wild is part of the same win though.
You need at least 3 wanted poster scatters in view to trigger the Bonus Round, and this gives you 5 free spins and an x2 starting wild multiplier. All wilds that appear in the bonus round become sticky for the remainder of the feature. Scatters are collected in the Wild Multiplier Ladder seen on the left, and each level-up awards +5 extra spins.
Here’s an overview of what you get from the wild multiplier ladder:
- Collect 2 scatters to increase the wild multiplier value to x5.
- Collect +4 more scatters to increase the multiplier to x25.
- Collect +6 more scatters to reach the maxed out x100 multiplier.
The 200 Spins Wanted Wildz Slot Experience
You get to see at least one multiplier wild win before we trigger the bonus round at the 1-minute mark. We landed 3 scatters, and the feature plays out for the remainder of the 2-minute highlights video. You can see it all for yourself by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
We quite enjoyed our test session of Wanted Wildz, and we will probably be back for more volatile wild west action. It might not be up there with the toughest alpha gunslingers in the genre, but it’s not too far off either. We like all the bullets being fired and ricocheted around as you win, and that final position is really being peppered in the near-miss scatter sequences.
Combining tried and tested features, like sticky wilds and wild multiplier progression, makes for a tense and potentially impactful bonus round. Decent payouts can come from the base game as well, via the random wild multiplier system, and we have no complaints about the 15,000x potential. Wanted Wildz is a hardboiled, no-nonsense wild west release that any fan of the Dead or Alive franchise will probably enjoy.
