Toro Shogun Review

The main character and his arch-enemy seem to have the ability to travel in both time and space. You get elements incorporated into this Shogun era Japanese-themed slot. The arch-enemy is dressed up as a ninja in this game, but he’s still getting defeated each time they appear at the same time. The visuals are good, with classic Japanese architecture on display in the background.

The Wild is dressed up as a samurai. You get a dynamic grid experience all the way, with up to 10 positions per reel, and the Wild triggers walking wild respins when he appears. You get more wilds when he defeats the ninjas, and a progressive multiplier system is introduced in the bonus round. There are plenty of features and action all the way in Toro Shogun, and the mix of themes works surprisingly well once you get into the swing of things.

Toro Shogun Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 0.75 and 10 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and landing a 5-oak win activates the Pay Both Ways feature for as long as the cascading sequence lasts. Winning symbols are removed and replaced via this mechanic, and at least 1 wild symbol will spawn in an empty position per cascade.

Each winning reel expands by the number of symbols that are removed, and you can play with up to 10 symbols per reel in this game. The Max Row feature can trigger at random times, and this expands all 5 reels with 10 rows.

The character will then move vertically and/or horizontally to knock the Enemy off the grid. The character leaves wilds in his wake as he moves, and he will move around like this until all Enemies have been defeated.

The Shogun Mode triggers when you have maxed out all 5 reels with 10 rows, and this removes all low-value symbols from the grid. The Pay Both Ways feature also activates, and the Shogun Mode lasts for as long as the cascading winning streak lasts.

You need 3 bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 to trigger the Bonus Round, and this gives you 7 free spins. The win multiplier increases by +1 per bonus symbol you land during the feature, and landing 2 bonus symbols increases the win multiplier by +2.

Land 3 at the same time to increment the multiplier by +3, and this also gives you +7 extra free spins. The multiplier never resets, and landing 3 bonus symbols in Shogun Mode triggers a persistent Shogun Bonus Mode for the rest of the feature.
