Jackpot King

Many slots have a progressive jackpot feature. Above the reels, you will see the various jackpot prizes. Things started fairly slowly with spin after spin producing a handful of wins with low-paying symbols. The medium variance of the game was rather evident by the fact that after every few spins, a winning combination would come up. It didn’t take too long till one of the leprechauns landed on reel 2 and expanded with a 4X multiplier on it. The sticky expanded Wild leprechaun remained in its position and the respin took place. The luck of the Irish was on our side as another leprechaun landed on reel 4 to reveal a 5X multiplier. With 2 expanded Wilds on the reels, the excitement was building in anticipation that possibly another Wild would land during the respin. It really was our lucky day when a third Wild landed and expanded on reel 3. Now, things were getting rather exhilarating, but unfortunately, a fourth Wild didn’t grace the reels and the feature ended.

Then, it was back to basics with around 100 spins going by without anything to get excited about. It almost seemed like our luck had run out, but then out of nowhere, the Jackpot King feature kicked in and we only landed 10 gold crowns. While this awarded a decent multiplier, it wasn’t the required 15 crowns to active the Wheel King. After that, not much happened for the rest of the 200 spins, with only a few medium-sized payouts. By the end of the test, we had doubled our initial bankroll.

Slots O’ Gold Megaways is a decent slot game but nothing to get overly thrilled about. The graphics and animation are fairly good, although the sound effects can become a little tedious. Unfortunately, Slots O’ Gold Megaways is lacking in features. In essence, it only has 2 main bonus features, being the Rainbow Respins and the Jackpot King, and because they don’t occur very often, you might find yourself becoming a little bored with the endless spinning of the reels. While Free Spins is one of the most common features today when it comes to modern slots, it is kind of expected. The fact that Slots O’ Gold Megaways doesn’t have a Free Spins feature is rather strange, especially because it doesn’t have much else to offer. It’s also worth noting, and in our opinion, that if a slot is going to have an Irish theme, where there is certainly no shortage of titles to choose from, then the developer should have pulled out all the stops to make their game stand out.

With that all said, Slots O’ Gold Megaways is a simple and enjoyable slot to play. It’s not terrible and it's not the best slot we’ve ever played. There is potential for some great prizes and there is nothing complex about this game; simply set your bet and start spinning.
