Shaker Club Review

The setting in Shaker Club kind of reminded us of the classic Tom Cruise movie, Cocktail (1988), but then again, most stylish Cocktail joints look the same. You get silhouettes of people standing around talking in a civilized manner, so clearly the evening is still young. The cocktails look refreshing enough, and they can land you solid payouts in all stages of the game. The electronica soundtrack fits the bill, and fans of multiplier mechanics will probably enjoy this game as well.

You get a random multiplier per base game spin, and it can go as high as x250. It does not double, however, and there are no cascading wins in this game. Instead, the main attraction is a bonus round where the multiplier increments to a higher level per free spin. Scatters upgrades the multiplier as well, and you can start at x25. The 10,000x potential is solid enough, and Shaker Club offers uncomplicated gameplay with a highly enjoyable multiplier system.

Well, the joint looks classy enough, with people standing around having presumably interesting conversations, and Shaker Club is a pretty decent game overall. The random multiplier system can land you solid payouts in the base game, although that is not likely to happen all that often, of course. Having the possibility is still nice though, and it adds a bit of tension to each spin. The cocktails look tasty as well, and they can bring in massive payouts in the bonus round.

We know from the DoubleMax series that developers have a thing for massive multipliers. This is exactly what you get in the bonus round, at least towards the end of the feature. The benefit of getting the x25 starting multiplier is obvious, but it also means that you are guaranteed to reach the top-tier x250 multiplier on the final free spin. Solid payouts can be won all the way though, and every win is significant with these kinds of multiplier values. This makes Shaker Club a highly entertaining game, and it’s a perfect solo pre-party before you hit the clubs for a night out.
