Sometimes a Megaways release is all it takes to get noticed. Money Megaways is a bank vault themed game with a retro style presentation.

The game features a dynamic grid and a top reel that can provide a Vault Symbol Upgrade symbol. You can win 3 different fixed jackpots and there is also a Hold & Respin feature. The main attraction is the unlimited progressive multiplier bonus round, and the overall max win is 7,003x your stake. It’s not a flawless release, but Money Megaways provides a good time.

Money Megaways Slot Features

The premium symbols pay between 20 and 1,000x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and winning symbols are removed via the Cascading mechanic. You win by landing matching symbols from the uttermost left to the right on adjacent reels, and the Wild can appear anywhere to step in for pay symbols to help complete wins.

You can land a special 1x2 sized Vault Symbol on the top horizontal reel only, and it needs to be fully in view to trigger the Symbol Upgrade feature. A random symbol type is then selected, and all instances of that symbol are upgraded to a higher value symbol.

You need at least 4 gold bar scatters in view to trigger the Hold & Respin Bonus, and the triggering scatters become sticky as the rest of the grid is cleared. Only new gold bar scatters and blanks will land during this feature, and you start with 3 respins. Any new scatter that appears becomes sticky as well, and this resets the respins tally each time.

The gold bar scatters come with random cash prizes between 0.05x and 100x your stake, and all sticky gold bar scatters pay when the feature ends. This happens when you either run out of respins, or manage to fill the whole grid with nothing but sticky scatter prizes.

The Free Spins Bonus Round triggers when you land 4, 5, or 6 free spins scatter symbols anywhere in view, and this awards 8, 10, or 12 free spins, respectively. A global win multiplier that starts at x1 kicks in from the first win, and it increases by +1 per cascading win after that.

The multiplier has no upper limit, and it never resets for as long as the bonus round lasts. You get +4 extra spins from 4 scatters on the same free spin, and +4 on top of that per additional retriggering scatter above the minimum of 4.

The Bitcoin Logo Coin is a Jackpot Coin, and it can land both in the base game and in the free spins round. You need 4, 5, or 6 Bitcoin Jackpot Coins in view to win the silver, gold, or crypto jackpots, respectively, and they pay 50x, 500x, or 5,000x your stake.

Review Summary

Money Megaways is a wealth themed release. Adding a Bitcoin Jackpot to the mix is an original touch, and being able to win up to 5,000x is never wrong.

The symbol upgrading vault is a great feature. The Hold & Respins feature is fairly standard stuff. The free spins round is similar to what you get in most Megaways installments, and the progressive multiplier system can lead to decent payouts up to 7,003x your stake. Money Megaways is an enjoyable experience.
