It’s hard to understand what has been thinking with this follow-up, as Reign Of The Mountain King has been watered down in every possible way compared to the somewhat successful original game. Audiovisually, the difference isn’t all that noticeable, but the 96 % RTP is notably reduced. While the 10,000x potential is solid enough for sure, it’s still only 1/5 of the win cap you get in the first release.
The highest wild multiplier you can hope for from a single wild win is x8 in this game, while they go as high as x100 in the original. Wilds also come with x5 multipliers by default in the bonus round of the original, so we hardly see a single reason players would want to play Reign instead of the far superior original. Not that the original was all that either by the way, and you get a somewhat dated visual style and awkward game pace in both installments.
