The initial release was a basic mechanic game, and a Hold & Win version followed. Prospector Wilds Megaways represents their Megaways introduction, which is a somewhat ambitious move. However, Prospector Wilds Megaways is a decent Megaways debut.

A prospector is always present, and 4 canaries are visible on the right. They show how close you are to triggering the progressive multiplier bonus round, as that requires 4+ consecutive tumbles. Multiplier wilds appear only in the base game, and Prospector Wilds Megaways is a more substantial game than the first.

The premium symbols pay between 2 and 25 x your stake for 6 symbol wins, and both types of Wild symbols can land on reels 2 to 6. Both wilds substitute for pay symbols to help create wins, and they have no value of their own.

The x2 multiplier wild boosts any win it is part of, and you can get up to 3 multiplier wilds per spin. If multiple multiplier wilds are part of the same win, the multipliers are multiplied together. The multiplier wild does not appear in the bonus round.

All winning symbols are removed via the Tumble mechanic, and the gaps are filled by new and/or existing symbols dropping from above. This process repeats for as long as your winning streak lasts, and is active both in the base game and in the bonus round.

The progressive win multiplier starts at x1, and it increases by +1 per tumble win. The win multiplier never resets. Also, any reel that maxes out with 7 positions remains that way. Each locked maxed out reel awards +1 to the win multiplier, and +1 extra spin when you run out of free spins.

Finally, players can purchase the Bonus Round. You can pay 30x, 50x, or 90x your stake to get 6, 8, or 10 free spins, respectively. Alternatively, you can pay 50x, 80x, or 130x your stake to get the same number of spins, but with 1 reel locked with 7 positions from the start.
