The story of Jack and the Beanstalk is a popular one in the world of online slots, and it has been depicted in different ways many times already. This game adds another one to the pile with Megaways Jack and The Magic Beans, and it’s a follow-up to their previous Megaways Jack. The visual presentation has been updated, but the math model looks pretty similar.

You don’t get to climb any beanstalks in this release, however, but the pre bonus round game is all about watering them to make them grow as tall as possible. The taller they grow, the more lucrative your bonus round potentially becomes, and the special Harp symbol awards 6 different modifiers during the feature as well. The 25,000x potential is the same as before, and there is plenty of variety to be found in this game.

It doesn’t take that much to make a Megaways title stick out, and too many developers tend to churn out the standard copycats instead of doing something unique. In this particular case, Megaways Jack and The Magic Beans comes across as both original and entertaining. The pace is excellent all the way, and the tiles explode in a way that’s satisfying to behold.

We wish the Harp symbol would come with more varied modifier action also in the base game, but at least it gives you a guaranteed win. It’s fun to see what kind of extras you get to bring with you into the bonus round each time, but it seemed hard to get more than one maxed out locked reel for some reason. The starting multiplier was usually more generously distributed, and we have no complaints about the 25,000x potential. Overall, this is a highly playable and fun Megaways release that’s well worth a closer look.
