Watching the original Jurassic Park in a big screen theater is a childhood memory that still lingers to this day. The multiple follow-up movies that have since been released hardly made the same impression, and the same can be said about the branded slot version efforts we’ve seen lately. Jurassic Park Gold comes with impressive effects and animations though, which fans will probably love.

However, it cannot be denied that this is pretty close to being a reskin of another slot, but with a watered-down math model. The semi-transparent reels are set against a lush jungle backdrop, and you get plenty of recognizable characters from the 1993 blockbuster. Originality is hardly the reason dino fans continue to gobble up any new Jurassic Park movie installment, and the same goes for the world of online slots. A brand has paid for an expensive branded licence, so why not milk it for all it’s worth.

The result is a blockbuster style release that’s full of CGI bells and whistles, and many players will find this entertaining, no doubt. The ‘hail mary’ T-Rex Wild Storm bonus round could have been fun to gamble on once in a while, but the potential does not make it stick out enough to make it worthwhile. Cynics will choose the superior math model of the original game, while dino lovers will look past all that and enjoy this branded reskin job for what it is.
