Our Verdict
Let me start by saying that I was never a huge fan of the original Joker’s Jewels. While I do enjoy classic-themed games once in a while, I mostly see them as palate cleansers to make feature-rich video slots all the more exciting again. If the retro slot experience is your thing, you may enjoy Joker's Jewels Cash more than I did. I’m just being honest and upfront about where I stand on these types of games, which does color my verdict.
Part of the charm with retro slots like this is the classic spin melody. However, also including a lively soundtrack to compete with the spin melody seems unnecessary. Luckily, you can turn off the soundtrack and keep the spin melody, which is what I recommend for this game. I’m usually a fan of playing in turbo mode, but it kind of ruins the experience in Joker's Jewels Cash. The spin melody gets cut off and you can barely glimpse wins if you hold down the space bar for ultra-turbo mode.
At least Joker's Jewels Cash lives up to its name with a beefed up max win of 5,000x your stake, which is significantly higher than what the predecessors offer. However, the base game can be quite brutal with its low hit rate and high volatility. Your bankroll will suffer between top up wins, but you can crack the win cap via full-screen wins with the top-tier Joker symbol. That being said, your biggest chances of larger payouts will likely come from the bonus game.
Unfortunately, the hit rate of the bonus game is not disclosed, and in my experience, the feature did not trigger all that often.
