Golden Reels Jackpot
This feature awards one of three fixed jackpots, and can occur during the Base Game or Free Spins. When 3 Reels turn gold, the Minor Jackpot is won, awarding 15x total bet. When 4 Reels turn gold, the Major Jackpot (150x bet) is awarded. But what you really want to see is all 5 Reels turning gold, because this awards the Grand Jackpot of 2,000x your bet.
Cashien Random Award
This feature can trigger randomly during the Base Game and Free Spins. It can award Free Spins, or the Jackpot Bonus pick and match game, during which players must match 3 of the same symbol to win the corresponding jackpot.

The 200 Spins 5 Lions Experience
We put 5 Lions Gold through our usual 200 spin test to get a feel of the game.
Our opening series of spins is largely uneventful. We rack up a few inconsequential wins, before achieving a decent one of 24.6x our bet. A few spins later, we improve on that, winning 28x our bet. This proves to be the highlight of our test. The fact that our two notable wins both involved Wilds makes us a little sad that this game doesn’t feature Wild Multipliers in the Base Game.
Our 200 spins are up. Of course, we’re disappointed not to have triggered Free Spins, or seen the Golden Reels Jackpot and Cashien Random Award features in action. We remind ourselves that getting the best out of any slot, and particularly a high volatility one such as this, usually requires more than 200 spins. That said, the beauty of slots is their randomness, and while we didn’t have the best luck, you may well come along and win 7342x your stake on your first spin!
Review Summary
5 Lions Gold provides an enjoyable gameplay experience. The high fidelity graphics and soundtrack have much to do with this, as does the seven-in-one Free Spins feature. In addition, the potential to win one of the three fixed jackpots - especially the Grand - will be enough to make this game highly attractive to many players. In conducting our research for this review, we won a Minor Jackpot via the Golden Reels Jackpot feature, however, we never experienced the Cashien Random Award, despite playing for well over 1,000 spins.
