Hot Wild 7s Review
There is an abundance of “classic slots with a modern twist” out there, and the game hasn't done anything in particular to make it stand out. The colorful reels are set against a generic backdrop, and the sound effects are as you would expect from this type of game. The symbol values must be divided by 20 if you want to see how much you win per total stake, and it’s a bit annoying that you cannot place £/€1 bets.
The customizable RTP ranges is another drawback, although the highest default RTP of 96.25 % is decent enough. Winning symbols are grilled by flames, and almost 50 % of your spins will land a winning combo on average. Symbols tend to land in stacks, and you can win up to 2,000x your stake from the bonus round.
Hot Wild 7s Features
The flaming red 7 wild can land on any of the 5 reels, and it will step in for all regular pay symbols. It’s also the highest paying symbol in the game, offering 25x your stake for 5 on a payline. This means that a full screen of wilds equals a 1,000x payout, if you play with all 40 paylines active.
The bell scatter pays 1,000x for 5 anywhere in sight, and you need at least 3 on the same spin to trigger the bonus round. You get 10 free spins no matter what, and the feature can be retriggered by landing 3+ bell scatters on a free spin. This gives you 10 extra spins, and there is no upper limit as to how many times you can retrigger the bonus round.
The 200 Spins Hot Wild 7s Experience
The hit rate is pretty insane in this game, so we had plenty of smaller wins in the base game. Some have been included in the 5-minute highlights video, but you can skip ahead to 1:11 if you just want to see the bonus round. We retrigger the free spins several times also, and you can see how much we won by clicking the play button.
Review Summary
The game has gone back to the basics with Hot Wild 7s, and the game caters to casual fruit machine lovers. The unusually high hit rate of 47.4 % gives you plenty of base game wins to keep you going. However, nothing too significant is landed most of the time. The bonus round is pretty similar to the base game, although it seems a bit easier to land wilds.
Retriggers did abound in our test session at least, but this could be chalked up to beginner’s luck. We got away with a fair amount of cash too, but overall Hot Wild 7s failed to make a lasting impression. It’s a run-of-the-mill fruit slot with a mediocre 2,000x potential, and nothing original has been done with this classic concept.
