While the original Hot to Burn was a featureless affair offering only a mediocre potential, this title has taken it up more than a few notches. The volatility is far more brutal here, but that’s the price you pay for a 20,000x potential.
The classic Streak Respins feature has been trending for a while now, but in this game you need to trigger the Big Money Bonus Wheel to land anything of significance. This requires filling the screen with cash symbols during the Hold & Respins feature, and this is not always easy. The good news however, is that the Big Money Wheel offers indefinite respins as long as you keep winning.
Hot To Burn: Hold And Spin Features
The flaming wild symbol can land on all 5 reels, and it will step in for regular pay symbols like wilds usually do. The wild pays the same as the highest value 7 symbol, and 5 on a payline lands you a decent 250x your stake. Star scatters pay wherever they land, and you win 1x, 20x or 100x for 3, 4 or 5 in sight, respectively.
You trigger the Hold & Respins feature when you land 5+ burning sun cash symbols on the same spin. All the triggering cash symbols become sticky on a new reel set, and you will land only blanks or new money symbols during the feature.
You start with 4 lives (hearts), which indicates the number of respins you have in reserve. The tally resets to 4 again every time you land at least 1 new sticky cash symbol. The feature goes on until you run out of lives, or until you fill the screen with nothing but money symbols.

The Hot To Burn series, and similar classic looking games, caters to players craving a simple slot experience. The base game is rather uneventful, even though 5,000x payouts can, in theory, be landed by filling the screen with the highest value 7 symbol and/or wilds. In practice however, you’re basically grinding along with the occasional mid-range payout, or scatter win, to keep you going.
The Hold & Win bonus round will eventually trigger, but it comes with a massive “hit or miss” factor. Unless you manage to fill the screen to trigger the Big Money Wheel, you’re bound to be disappointed. The money symbols alone are not worth all that much (20x to 40x in total most of the time), and it’s a drag being kicked back to the base game grind without even getting a shot at the big prizes.
