The Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and it was a massive statue erected to honor the Greek sun god, Helios. This game presents a visually pleasing depiction of how it might have looked to the Greeks who visited the city by sea.
The powerful bronze statue is far from static however, and you’ll see some antics here and there in the base game. Review Summary
First of all, it’s nice to see a tribute to the lesser known sun god, Helios. We have to admit that Helios Fury was a bit underwhelming at first, but after some bonus round purchases it quickly grew on us. The base game is not all that, perhaps, but you do get a taste of the walking/sticky wild frenzy the bonus round can turn into.
The Hot Spot concept is pure genius actually, as things can get really tense when you start piling up wilds on the right-hand side. All the extra spins you get also helps a lot on morale, but the feature is still very ‘hit or miss’. The 6 spins can be over quickly on bad days, but when the sun god is in your corner, the thrill-ride can sail you all the way to a solid 50,000x your stake payout (5,180x per free spin at the most, though).
