The Cygnus series started out in Egypt, and Cygnus 2 took us to an observatory from medieval times. Cygnus 3 comes with a grid that’s placed in the middle of the Colosseum at night, and you’ll see the Cygnus Wheel rotating against the starry backdrop above the reels. The Gravity mechanic makes the symbol drops tumble into place as usual, and Avalanche Wins expand the grid up to 6x8 with 262,144 ways to win.

Both multiplier wilds and multiplier symbols will accumulate per Avalanche sequence, and their respective multiplier values combine forces to boost your total win. The big highlight is the spin on the Cygnus Wheel, of course, and it can land you jackpot prizes up to £100,000. This is also how you trigger the Free Drops Bonus Round, where the multiplier symbols/wilds remain active and accumulate for the duration of the feature. The Cygnus Wheel is a somewhat unexpected touch, and it blends nicely into the starry night backdrop. The usual Gravity and Avalanche mechanics are still going strong, and the base game is livened up by additive multiplier symbols and multiplier wilds. You can land solid payouts from this feature as well, and let’s not forget that rows are piled on to increase the number of win ways per consecutive avalanche.

This is true up to a certain point at least, as the grid maxes out at 6x8 reels with 262,144 ways to win. What truly makes this installment stick out, however, is the Cygnus Wheel. You can land jackpots up to £100,000, which is decent, but the downside is that you can also land smaller consolation prizes many times. It didn’t seem all that hard to trigger the free drops feature from the wheel though, which is good, but the max win has dropped. The 94 % RTP is another drawback, but Cygnus 3 is overall a solid installment that’s worth checking out.
