The theme made this game stand out from other wolf/werewolf slots, and the big potential immediately caught our attention. Some successful megaways titles already exist, and we wanted to see what this one was like.
The volatility was obvious from the start, as we mostly got nothing or small wins. The mystery symbol feature happens often, and it gave some okay wins sometimes. Nothing special, but you might expect between 2x and 10x from this feature most of the time.
With the turbo switched on, this game is pretty fast. However, on our “satisfying” gameplay scale, we’d give it a 6. Nothing about the spins is particularly great, but at least there are no delays to slow you down.
Towards the middle of our session we somehow triggered the bonus round, but we only got the minimum of 3 scatters. This gave us 8 free spins, and we got the Werewolf Strike symbol on almost every spin. Halfway through the session we’d already changed the 2 lowest value character symbols into werewolves, but so far we’d only won a small amount.
On the next spin we had a good win, and the game made a big deal out of it. With 2 spins left we changed the lady (second highest value character) into a werewolf, and this also gave us an extra spin. On the last spin we got 2 scatters, which gave us 2 more spins, but we got no more “big wins” from them. In the end, we only won a small amount overall, which was disappointing.

Most wolf and werewolf games tend to be serious. However, the game has created a more funny atmosphere in Curse of the Werewolf Megaways. The characters and the wolf are all cartoon-style, and the music is a parody of “spooky” horror movie music. So far, so good, but the game isn’t truly original.
The mystery symbol feature helps a bit, but it’s almost a standard feature on most megaways titles. Not having cascading reels is refreshing, and it saves you time getting to the bonus round. The 2 reel modifiers can also help, but the bonus round is where you’re most likely to get close to the big max win potential.
