While modern day vampires are usually portrayed as young and sexy, the developers have taken a more ‘old school’ approach with Brides of Dracula Hold and Win. Granted, the old Count is about to marry 3 somewhat hot looking women, so we can see why he’s grinning all the time. We doubt these particular ladies are low maintenance however, and the cartoonish visual presentation takes the edge off the somewhat spooky atmosphere.
The big attraction is, of course, the Hold & Win Respins feature, and it’s been spiced up with 4 modifiers that makes this installment stick out from many similar games. In addition, you get 1 of 3 base game modifiers every time the Pick a Letter feature triggers, and one of these can help you trigger the Hold & Win feature. We don’t think a popular vampire themed game feels threatened, but this is still a decent installment in the vampire genre.
Brides of Dracula Hold and Win Features
The Van Helsing-lookalike is the wild symbol, and he steps in for all regular pay symbols to help you complete winning combinations. The wild is also the most valuable symbol in the game, awarding 20x your stake for 5 of a kind. Regular premiums pay between 6 and 16 x your stake for the same in comparison.
The Hold & Win Brides of Dracula Respins feature triggers whenever you land at least 5 scatter moon cash symbols on the same spin. You start with 3 respins, and all new cash moon scatters that land become sticky and resets the respins tally to 3 again. Moon cash symbols are worth between 1 and 1,000 x your stake.
In addition, you can land 4 different Reel Booster gems, and you need to collect 3 of the same type in the respective meters above the reels to win a booster:

Review Summary
We get that the developer wants to tip the hat to the legendary vampire themed slot, but calling the copycat stacked wild feature “Wild Desire” borders on sacrilegious. The audiovisual presentation is decent in Brides of Dracula Hold and Win, but the overall atmosphere doesn’t come close to the epicness of the classic. On a positive note, this is among the best installments in the Hold and Win range, so far.
This is mostly thanks to the extra boosters you get in the Brides of Dracula Respins feature, and the hard-to-get multiplier booster is key to cracking the 6,040x potential. The Wild Desire feature pays “only” 400x your stake at the most in this game, but it’s still nice to have another feature to break up the many dead spins you get in the base game grind. Overall, a decent installment compared to similar slots from this developer, but it will hardly dethrone the alphas in the vampire genre.
