Cash Shot Review
There probably aren’t many players that can still remember the original slot, and it’s no wonder. It wasn’t a big success by any stretch, though the slot did have a couple of decent gameplay features. Developers decided to take another look at it with Cash Shot, and we can tell you that it improves the original in essentially all regards. So, without further ado, let’s explore what this new release brings to the table, starting with its playing field. It consists of 5 reels, 4 rows and as many as 1,024 ways to win.
For one reason or another, developers decided to keep the game’s audiovisuals in line with the original release. And, unfortunately, we have to say that we don’t like that decision at all. The slot’s theme is all about bank vaults and that’s rather bland on its own, but the bigger issue here is that the production values just aren’t as good as they should be. The symbol designs are poor, and you most definitely wouldn’t be able to tell that this is a 2022 slot by looking at it.
There’s no official info about the slot’s volatility, but we estimate it to be medium-high. The most you can win in one go is 5,000x your bet, and you can play for stakes between £0.20 and £50 per game round. Finally, it’s worth saying that Cash Shot comes with RTP ranges, and that its RTP values are roughly 88%, 90%, 94% and 96%.
Cash Shot Features
There are just three pay symbols in Cash Shot, which means that there are also plenty of blocker “O” symbols that do nothing. The pay symbols show Xs, BARs and sevens, with sevens being worth the most. If you find a set of five sevens on a payline, you’ll get a nice 10x payout.
For specials, there are Joker Wilds, Silver Vaults, Gold Vaults, and Dollar Bill Scatters. Note that Joker Wilds can’t appear in the base game, so their potential is rather limited.
Kicking off the gameplay, we have Silver Vaults, which are basically Scatter symbols that pay out from anywhere on the board. The paytable for Silver Vaults is displayed right next to the playing field at all times, and filling the board with these symbols leads to the game’s 5,000x jackpot!
Next, we have Gold Vaults, which can appear only on reel 5 in the base game (though they can appear on all reels during free spins). These Gold Vaults add a random number of Silver Vaults to your trail, which allows you to get to the bigger wins even without finding a lot of Silver Vault symbols.
Land 3, 4, or 5 Dollar Bill Scatters to trigger the Free Spins feature with 8, 12, or 16 free spins, respectively. There are no retriggers, but you can get Joker Wilds during free spins. Also, all three pay symbols can also come with Double overlays that double the number of ways to win for that given symbol type.
Review Summary
All in all, Cash Shot is a rather gimmicky online slot that’s certainly unorthodox, but that also comes with a lot of rough edges, especially in terms of visuals. It’s understandable that the designers wanted the slot to remind us of the original slot, but we think that this could’ve been done in a much better fashion. The overall experience will surely please all fans of the original, but we’re struggling to see how it will attract new players.
