Our Verdict
It’s hard to argue with success, and the Blitz series from has been a massive hit since the very first installment, Gold Blitz, was released in 2022. While the cash collect feature was all the rage at the time, and still is to a certain extent, I suspect it was the trademarked Gold Blitz feature that made the first release such a home run. The win guarantee with an abundance of cash and jackpot symbols made it irresistible, but it’s not included in this follow-up.
Instead, Zeus Gold Blitz Fortune Tower expands on the collect feature by including various new avenues to collecting your riches. You need the Zeus symbol to activate the Collect symbols, though, but it tends to appear quite frequently in my experience. The Upgrade feature comes in handy at times, turning regular collect symbols into jackpot collectors. This can certainly be helpful given the mediocre size of the cash prizes, but don’t expect massive jackpots most of the time either.
I really like the multiplier feature that’s been added in this game, as it means that Zeus symbols never go to waste. Being able to boost cash prizes and jackpots by up to x5 is a pretty neat upgrade, and it means the 5,000x win cap can be captured from a single Jackpot prize. Overall, the game is well-balanced, and you get the sense that the features mesh well together to work in your favor when luck is on your side.
While not being a huge fan of the Blitz series myself, I can certainly see the appeal. I find the visuals too flashy and in-your-face, but I still enjoyed my Zeus Gold Blitz Fortune Tower test session more than I thought I would. The expanded bonus round grid helps land you more collect and Zeus symbols, but as is usually the case in these types of games, regular line wins are not the main course. To conclude, fans of the Blitz series will probably enjoy this game as much as they did previous installments.
