Halloween is coming up, and we have already seen some Halloween slots being released. We’re unsure if we would call Witch Feature a seasonal release however, although it certainly fits the bill also in that regard. It comes with a witch riding her broomstick, as well as a clever wordplay title.
Replacing the word ‘which’ with ‘witch’ is hardly a very original pun, but it captures the essence of this game quite well. You will unlock 4 different features via potion bottle combos that are collected, and these trigger 4 unique modifiers once you hit the corresponding potion combos during gameplay. All 4 modifiers are active by default in the bonus round, and you can win up to 3,000x your stake.

The premium symbols pay between 1.6 and 6 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Wild symbols pays up to 20x your stake for the same. If you land a third potion that doesn’t match what you need, however, all potions are removed. At random times when all potions are removed, you get a Mystery Symbols feature instead. You’ll then see Question Mark symbols spread across the grid, and these turn into the same randomly selected high value symbol.
The 4 already mentioned Potion Feature cards come with different potion combinations that trigger each feature, and they all consist of 3 bottles. Triggering the High Symbols Respin gives you a spin with only premium symbols and wilds, and this also unlocks the next Random Wilds card. This card awards random wilds on the respin when activated, and unlocks the Multiplier Respin card.
The Multiplier Respin awards a random multiplier of x2, x3, x5, x8 and x10, and the multiplier will boost the total win from the respin. This unlocks the Mega Wild Respin card, which gives you 2x2 and/or 3x3 sized mega wilds added randomly to the grid. The cards remain unlocked forever once they have been activated.
The Bonus Round triggers from a scatter on reels 1 and 5 at the same time, and this awards 10 free spins. All 4 Potion Feature cards are active in the bonus round, regardless of their current status in the base game. The card features trigger at random times, and you can expect them more frequently during the bonus round. Even one scatter awards extra spins, while 2 on reels 1 and 5 gives you +10 extra spins. There is no limit to how many additional free spins you can get.

Review Summary
The title of this release is somewhat clever, as Witch Feature will keep you guessing ‘which feature’ you’ll get next. The visual presentation is quite simple and nothing extraordinary perhaps, but we caught ourselves getting hooked by the potion collection concept nonetheless. It gets more fun as you unlock more cards, and when all 4 are activated you’ll be on your toes most of the time.
The gameplay must connect directly into some primal hunter-gatherer part of the brain, cause this was far more engaging than we thought it would be. The modifiers are decent enough when they trigger, but the hook is the potion collection part, and to see what you get next. You get them more frequently in the bonus round, and the 3,000x potential is okay for a mid-range medium volatile installment like this.
