Welcome to my slot review dedicated to Wishbringer. It is the first genie-themed slot and comes with sophisticated mechanics and a high win potential.

The title has revealed creatively developed slots with twisted themes. Pretty much everything is warped and modified in a darker manner, but Wishbringer is not. This fairly popular theme is now brought with the help of a smiling genie floating in the air on the grid's right side.

The provider has selected an interesting layout and payout system - 6x4 matrix with Multiway mechanics. Each spin generates 4,096 ways to win, and symbols pay for combinations starting from the leftmost reel and continuing to the right on adjacent columns. There are no cascades here or sudden symbol transformations.

The low-paying stuff is the common poker card symbols from A to 10, paying between 0.10x and 0.50x the stake. Wishbringer himself is a wild symbol and substitutes for all the regulars. If lined up, it will also pay a prize worth 5x the bet!

The Wishbringer RTP ranges, and you can find up to 4 versions, with the highest one boasting a rate of 96.33%. The online slot is characterized by medium volatility, but my advice is to avoid the alternative variants anyway. They have rates of 94.22%, 92.27%, and 88.21%. Theme & Graphics

Wishbringer utilizes a Fantasy theme based on the One Thousand and One Nights folktales of the Middle East. The game comes with fairly good graphics, smooth animations, and nice Arabic melodies to spice up the gameplay even more. Overall, the game is solid in that regard and much better compared to others.

On the flip side, the title possesses a certain reputation and has reached near the top of slot development. Therefore, it must compete with itself most of the time, and the truth is that Wishbringer is far from what we have seen in the past. It's nice, yes, but the theme is ordinary, just like pretty much everything else.

For one thing, the slot is light, and you can flawlessly run it through any browser on any device. The mobile compatibility is sufficient, and you don't need to have the latest iPhone or Android smartphone to enjoy it. Still, I was expecting a little more in terms of visual presentation and concept.

Our Verdict

Wishbringer would have been a nice addition to the impressive repertoire if it wasn't for the fact that we've seen such a performance already. Yes, the game is almost a full reskin of another game, but with a volatility switch removed. All the rest - mechanics, wild rows, bonus minigame, etc., are identical, and that raises a few extra questions!

The title has never been into the development of filler slots or clones with changed themes and skins. That, in addition to the too-ordinary visual presentation of Wishbringer, seems like some of the managing staff has been replaced. Hopefully, that is not the new direction of the studio, as its glory has been achieved mainly on the opposite.

Moreover, it's rare to see a slot powered by ways-tow-in mechanics instead of paylines. Perhaps another game is one of the finest examples of such mechanics, but it comes with much more immersive gameplay, although inspired by a horrifying scenario. Another game is one of the latest Ways-To-Win slots, released in January.

It's actually a third installment of the series based on the Smokey adventures after another game and another game. The first game features Cluster Pays, while the second - 19-line mechanics. So, Wishbringer can be a bringer of something else, too. I'll continue to watch the performance in the slots scheduled after this one!
