Wild Bandolier Review
We admittedly had to look up the word “bandolier”, as it’s hardly commonly used these days. It has nothing to do with bandits, although some of them would probably wear it. A bandolier is simply a bullet belt worn across the chest, which you have probably seen in wild west movies more than a few times. Wild Bandolier takes you to yet another dusty frontier town, and bullet wilds take center stage in this game.
Not only are the bullet wilds the highest paying symbols in the game, but you also get a random Wild Bullet feature in all stages of the game. A shadow dramatically appears, and the gunslinger blasts up to 6 symbols into wilds with his gun. You get up to 40 guaranteed wilds in the random multiplier bonus round, and this includes both organic wilds and wilds from the gunslinger feature. This is a medium volatility release, and it comes with a 2,000x max win potential.
Wild Bandolier Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 8 and 25 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Wild Bullets play a central part in this game. Wilds step in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins, and they are also the highest paying symbol in the game. You win 100x your stake for 5 wilds on the same payline, and this means that wilds can appear on all 5 of the reels.
The Wild Bullet Feature will trigger at random times, and you will see the shadow of the gunslinger on the grid when it does. He fires up to 6 times, and this turns up to 6 random positions wild each time the feature triggers. This feature can also trigger in the bonus round, where you can expect it to hit more frequently.
You need 3 scatters in view to trigger the Bonus Round, and this gives you 10 free spins. You will then see 3 wanted posters on the screen, and you get to pick one of them. The poster you pick reveals the number of bullet wilds that are guaranteed to appear in the feature, and the number is either 10, 25, or 40 each time.
A win multiplier also comes into play in the bonus round, and it’s a random multiplier that varies between x1 and x5 per spin. There is also an alternative way to trigger the bonus round, and it’s called the Bandit Free Spins Trigger. The Bandit can appear on any given base game spin, and this triggers the bonus round.
The 200 Spins Wild Bandolier Slot Experience
The Wild Bullet Feature triggers at the start of the 4-minute highlights video, and it gave us the maximum of 6 wilds in random positions. We then trigger the bonus round at 1:12 into the video, and we got 25 guaranteed wilds from our Wanted Poster Pick. You can see for yourself how it all played out by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
We have to give credit for an original and catchy title, and we thought the word ‘bandolier’ had something to do with bandits before looking it up. The visuals aren’t bad either, but then again, this is expected. You get a decent western soundtrack as well, but the game still comes across as a bit half-hearted and lacking in grit and soul. It basically adds another wild west slot to the pile, without even trying to compete or go up against the alphas in the genre.
This lack of grit is reflected in the math model as well, which gives you medium volatility and a mediocre 2,000x potential. A screen full of wilds can theoretically happen, and this would crack the potential there and then, and the Wild Bullet Feature breaks up the base game on a somewhat regular basis. You get plenty of wilds in the bonus round as well, depending on your wanted poster pick, but we don’t see enough starpower here for people to return for more. Players looking for a simple mid-range game might enjoy this for a while though, but it’s far from the toughest gunslinger in the competitive wild west genre.
