Visually, the games are somewhat similar, but there is no element of steampunk in this game. It seems to be an all-agent drama this time, with no villains to capture. You can place bets between 25p and £25 per spin, just like in the first game, but the RTP of 96.01 % is a tiny bit higher here. The math model is still somewhat similar to the first game, as both are highly volatile titles with a powerful max win potential.
Valkyrie Returns Features
The gold bars wild can land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only, and it will step in for all regular symbols to help you form winning combos. There is also a Shooting Wild feature that will trigger at random times here, and you will then see Valkyrie fire her gun to randomly transform symbols on the 3 middle reels into wilds.
You’ll sometimes see a searchlight swipe over the reels, and Valkyrie uses her grappling hook to climb the reels. This is called the Valkyrie Undercover feature, and it transforms all medium value female character symbols into the highest paying blonde symbol.
Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters anywhere on the same spin triggers the free spins bonus round. You get either 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively, and then you get to choose between 2 different bonus rounds.
You can go with the Frequent Feature bonus round, and this simply means that you will benefit from more frequent Shooting Wilds and Valkyrie Undercover symbol transformations.
The second option is more interesting in our view, and it’s called the Multiplier Free Spins. You will then get a 2x or 3x multiplier boost whenever a wild is involved in a win. If 2 wilds are involved you get a 4x or 9x multiplier boost, while 3 wilds gives you a multiplier boost of either 8x or 27x.
Needless to say, the second option is the most volatile of the two. This is also where you can land massive wins up to 2,430 x whatever multiplier you can get. Finally, you can retrigger the free spins round the same way it was triggered in the first place. You will not get to choose a different mode however, so the spins will play out in the same mode as your original choice.

Valkyrie Returns is still about the blonde super agent, but the features and the math model has changed a lot since the first game. This is not a simple upgrade with little to no original content, and we like the fact that they made an effort to create something totally new. First of all, the RTP of 96.01 % is a tad higher than the first game, and the already solid potential has been increased significantly due to the multiplier free spins option.
Theoretically, wins up to 65,610x your stake is now possible with the 27x multiplier and a screen full of the blonde lady. The regular max win potential is 2,430x your stake, which is also decent. The volatility is perhaps even higher in this game, and it can take a good while to trigger the bonus round. The features are effective when it comes to breaking up the base game grind however, and especially the symbol transformation can help you land some decent payouts.
