Tropical Bonanza might not be super original, but it’s still an entertaining escape to a paradise setting with decent stats to boot.

It’s obvious from the title that the game developers are far from shy when it comes to revealing their obvious source of inspiration, and we’ve seen many copycats before. To their credit, the tropical island and fruit cocktail theme is well done, and you get a good view of the idyllic setting via the transparent reels. It’s a nice escape that feels like a small holiday, and you get a very idyllic sunset in the bonus round.
The random modifiers provide some excitement in the base game, and having multiplier symbols also in the base game is a nice touch. Perhaps it would’ve been better if you got modifiers from filling the cocktail meter, as 2 ways of triggering the bonus round is hardly needed. The bonus round is very similar to the inspiring game, with up to x100 multiplier symbols, but the 5,887x potential seems more realistic and down-to-earth.
