The third installment in the ‘Wild Toro World Tour’ series is also the strangest and most unfamiliar release. Wild Toro 2 expanded on the highly successful original Wild Toro, while Book of Toro took the bull and matador to ancient Egypt. Toro 7s is inspired by the Classic Series, and more precisely Route 777.
The backdrop seems to be in the outskirts of Las Vegas, with an old rollercoaster giving you a heads-up about the volatile ride you’re about to embark on. The compact 3x3 grid is livened up by the Vegas strip animations you get from the jumbotron above the reels, and the Matador and Toro are clearly on some kind of ‘fear and loathing’ inspired road trip holiday. Toro 7s Slot Features
You’ll benefit from 2 wild symbols in this game, the Matador on reel 2 and the Toro on reel 3. Both wilds step in for all regular pay symbols to help complete winning combinations, and they hold no value of their own. They both trigger features however, and the regular different color 7s premium symbols pay between 3.5 and 10 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins.
The Matador Wild triggers the Nudging Respins feature whenever it appears on reel 2, and the wild nudges one step down per respin. The Toro Wild comes with an x5 multiplier attached, and it triggers a similar nudging respins feature. The Bonus Round is triggered when you land 3 scatters anywhere in view, and this awards 10 free spins. The only difference from the base game is that all wins are now boosted by an x5 multiplier. The tier-2 Lucky Sevens Bonus is triggered when you land 3 scatters on the same free spin, however.
This nested feature is all about collecting green, blue and red 7s on reels 1, 2 and 3, respectively, and this increases your position on the Lucky Sevens prize chart. You get 3 spins for starters, and line wins and 7 symbols landing on the designated reel resets the spins tally to 3 again. You need to collect 5 of the 3 different-colored 7 symbols to win the max prize of 10,000x your stake.

We’re pretty sure Toro 7s - while providing a solid classic-inspired gaming experience overall - is going to be the least popular installment in the ‘Wild Toro World Tour’ trio. The influence of similar games makes this less refreshing than it otherwise might have been. Don’t get us wrong however, as Toro 7s is highly entertaining when the features hit, but expect plenty of grinding in-between.
The unfamiliar setting gave us a fish out of water vibe, something the missing Toro-chasing-the-Matador feature only reinforced. The action-packed Super Bonus is only available via the X-iter menu, which is kind of sad for UK players, but we enjoyed the jumbotron animations and the overall bouncy and volatile gameplay. It might be a bit of an acquired taste for fans of the previous releases, but Toro 7s still provides top notch gaming that’s well worth checking out.
