Creating a game based on a cartoon most players today have hardly heard about is a somewhat strange and brave choice. However, the cheeky, trash-talking top cat has enough charm to make it work. As far as the first game is concerned, you would be too overwhelmed by all the features to really care. It’s therefore extra surprising that a sequel was made and that the choice was to go barebones with it.
The original was hardly a massive success, so perhaps the idea is to make a totally “opposite” game to see if that works better. Visually, not much has changed, however, but the math model has been given a significant overhaul. The bonus round is entertaining enough, but the cash prize collection feature is hardly original. We think some base game modifiers would have spiced things up a bit here, and we don’t see Top Cat being on the “most wanted” list of most players.
Top Cat Most Wanted - Slot Bonus Features
A lot of branded slots come jam-packed with features, but Top Cat Most Wanted is one of the exceptions. It’s really all about the Dibble Trouble Free Spins feature here, and it comes with cash prizes to collect.
You need to land at least 3 bonus scatters to trigger the bonus round, and you get 10, 15, or 20 free spins when you land 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols, respectively. Each of the cat mugshot symbols will now land with a random cash prize attached, and this is the reward you get for capturing them.
The only way to catch these outlaw cats is to land at least one instance of the Officer Dibble wild symbol at the same time. He will then blow his whistle, and collect all the cash prizes from any cat mugshot in sight. You can even land more than one instance of Officer Dibble, and this will effectively multiply your total cash prize. You will then see all instances of Officer Dibble take their turn to collect all the rewards from the mugshots.
You can also retrigger the free spins round, and you need only 2 scatters on the same spin to get another 5 spins added to your tally. You can fully retrigger the feature by landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters, however, and this gives you 10, 15, or 20 new spins, respectively.

If you came to this sequel expecting a feature-rich experience like the first game offers, you might be disappointed. For whatever reason, the decision was made to strip this game almost to the bone. The sole focus on the bonus round is a bit surprising, to be honest, given the almost unreal amount of bonus games, features and modifiers you benefit from in the original Top Cat.
However, sometimes it can be good to take things in a totally new direction, and it’s certainly a bold move. The math model is definitely a lot stronger in this sequel, as you will now benefit from a higher RTP and a 50,000x potential. The medium volatility makes it a bit rougher around the edges than the first game, but it’s still highly suitable for casual players. You get plenty of cartoonish fun here, with action commentary to boot, but it wouldn’t have hurt with a few modifier bones thrown into the base game also.
