The developers have clearly decided to roll out the big guns in this oriental-theme follow-up. Tiger Kingdom Infinity Reels comes with a similar reel-scrolling winning symbol collection system as their first release, but the bonus round is heavily inspired by another popular game.
Although you can expect plenty of dead spins in the base game, and the Infinity mechanic will many times stop short as soon as it started, it’s a far less frustrating experience since nothing really resets with this system. You simply keep spinning until you hopefully hit the bonus round, or at least a multiplier or row-adding symbol or two. The feature can be over in a blink as well, but it provides plenty of modifying action when in the right mood.
Tiger Kingdom Infinity Reels Features
The infinity mechanic kicks in when you land 3 matching symbols involving all 3 reels, and you will then see the 3x3 grid scroll one position to the left. Winning symbols are collected from the leftmost reel that moves out of sight per respin, and the process goes on with indefinite respins as long as you land a new winning symbol on the reel that scrolls in from the right. When a non-winning reel appears, the value of all your collected symbols is summed up as your payout.
The premium symbols pay between 1 and 4 x your stake for each that is collected, and you can also collect Scroll symbols that add +1 row to the base game grid. Up to 2 extra rows can be added at best, and you can also benefit from multiplier symbols of x2, x3 or x4. The multiplier symbols boost your current total win accordingly when they are collected.
The Bonus Round is triggered when you collect 3+ bonus symbols in a single infinity mechanic sequence. Only blank spaces, money symbols and special modifier symbols will appear during the feature, and you start with 3 spins in your tally. Any non-blank symbol on reel 3 shifts the grid to the left, and it also resets the spins tally to 3 again.
Symbols that move off the grid to the left are collected, and this becomes your total win when you either run out of spins or hit the win cap. Here is an overview of all the symbols you can encounter in the bonus round:

The reel-scrolling and symbol collecting system does alleviate the ‘grid reset fatigue’ issue we’ve been complaining about for a while now, which is good, but you also don’t get the satisfaction of piling on plenty of reels those few times that actually happens in Infinity installments. It’s far more relaxing, and we salute them for cracking the Infinity Reels code in that regard.
Their debut hasn’t really taken off though, but the inspired bonus round makes this second effort an even more noteworthy installment. The oriental theme in Tiger Kingdom, although nicely done, might hold it back a little though, so a westernized reskin job might be a good idea. Overall, this is a very strong release that gives hope for the engine.
