There is no shortage of slots with the word ‘Lightning’ in the title, but The Wisecracker Lightning is hardly similar to any of them. This is a glossy and modern-looking fruit/jester slot. The name of the game is merging stacked reels into larger and larger Super Symbols, and hopefully fill the whole grid with a single symbol.
The jester symbol is the highest payer among the otherwise fruity symbols, and he/she (we honestly can’t tell) awards 10x your stake for 5 on a payline. This equals 100x your stake for a full grid of the wisecracking jester, which is far from impressive. However, lightning might strike the Super Symbols up to multiple times, and boost the payout with up to x100.
The Wisecracker Lightning Features
Landing a full stack of matching symbols turns the reel into a merged 1x3 Super Symbol. All adjacent Super Symbols you land will merge together, and Super Symbols become sticky for the next spin. The Super Symbol remains locked in place as long as you keep adding to it, and this is how you can fill the whole grid.
All the spins are regular paid spins though, so this is no free respins feature. A randomly triggered nudge feature might help you out at times, as stacks of 2 matching symbols might nudge up or down to reveal another fully stacked Super Symbol.
To top it off, a Lightning Strike feature can blast Super Symbols, and this enhances them with a random multiplier value. You can get new Lightning Strikes on consecutive spins, and this can increase the Super Symbol multiplier up to x100 at the most.

Review Summary
The Wisecracker Lightning looks like your typical fruit slot at first glance, but it contains a few features that makes it stick out. The visuals are well-done, and the jester character is the least creepy we’ve seen in a while. Merging symbols into larger Super versions in the hope of filling the screen is an okay base game thrill, but it would hardly be worth your while without the random Lightning Strike multiplier.
Even if you manage to fill the screen with a fully merged joker/jester Super Symbol, you’re still only looking at a 100x your stake payout. This means that you’re totally at the mercy of the Lightning multiplier to get anywhere close to the 10,000x potential, but getting boosted up to the maximum of x100 will not happen too often. The highest default RTP of 95.75 % is decent, but you’re still dealing with below average returns and RTP ranges.
