We’ve tried our fair share of sports slots over the years, and most of the time we’ve been disappointed. It’s tricky to incorporate whatever sport is depicted into the gameplay in a convincing and engaging way, it seems, but the developer has managed to do just that in Super Golf Drive. The game follows a familiar formula overall, but this mobile-friendly developer has a way of making it stand out as unique each time.

This time it’s the Mystery Symbols that steal the show, as they come with a golfer that swings her club to build the win multiplier per cascading sequence. The feature comes with neat animations and action commentary, and just a little effort like that goes a long way in a sports game like this. Of course, the multiplier never resets in the bonus round, and payouts up to 8,000x your stake was achieved in 1 billion simulated spins.

The premium symbols pay between 15 and 50 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the Asian female golfer is the top-tier symbol. We have to admit that we weren’t super excited when we first laid eyes on Super Golf Drive, as many sports games just aren’t that well-made and fun in our experience. The developer has once again taken us by surprise, and they have managed to create a highly engaging slot with the golfing element neatly incorporated into the gameplay. The visuals are solid as usual, and you get some decent action commentary as well.

The mobile-friendly developer really does have a knack for making small tweaks count, and each release comes across as fresh and unique despite essentially following a similar recipe. The big innovation here is the golfer mystery symbols, and it’s fun when they all swing their clubs to increase the win multiplier. It can lead to solid payouts in all stages of the game, and not least when the multiplier only keeps building in the bonus round. Up to 8,000x your stake is possible, and the advertised max win matches what was achieved in 1B simulated spins in this release.
