There will probably always be a market for games that come across as extremely dated compared to the mainstream releases these days, but as new generations get more and more used to modern video slots, that market is probably shrinking. This does not seem to concern the developers, one bit, and Star Wild Blaster is not even a very original release.
They churned out an almost identical game with Super Wild Blaster earlier this year, and another developer did something very similar in-between with Joker Wild Blaster. All 3 revolve around Expanding Wilds with random multipliers up to x10, and the 9,672x potential is not bad for a medium volatile effort.
Star Wild Blaster Features
The Star Wild symbol is the ‘star’ of this show, if there was any doubt, and it will land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. The wild steps in for all regular symbols, like wilds usually do, but it also triggers the Multiplier feature whenever it appears.
You will see the wild expand to cover the full reel, but first in the form of a multiplier ladder consisting of the following rungs: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x and 10x. A multiplier value is then chosen randomly from the ladder, and this becomes the wild multiplier for the fully expanded star wild. If more than one expanded multiplier wild is part of a winning combo, the respective multipliers are added together.
In addition, you have a gamble feature that can be turned off/on. It’s a classic 50/50 card guessing game, where you can double or quadruple your original win by guessing the color or suit of a face-down card. If you make the wrong guess, you lose all your winnings.

We triggered the Wild Multiplier feature a few times in our 2 and a half minute highlights video, but it didn’t lead to any massive payouts. Review Summary
We’re not sure if the very dated appearance is doing Star Wild Blaster any favours, but we do know that a certain segment of players enjoy the classic vibe. However, since the developers already have an almost identical installment with similar visuals in their recent Super Wild Blaster, why not take the Expanded Multiplier Wild feature to the next level with a modernized release this time?
Sadly, this is not the case, so what you get is essentially a clone with an inferior math model. The 9,672x potential is sliced in half, and this version comes with a slightly lower max RTP (yes, you get to deal with adjustable RTP ranges this time). Put this thing next to the visual fireworks that is another popular game, and it’s like a classic car versus a modern sports car.
