We’ve seen numerous Hold the Jackpot slots, but Sizzling Bells™ stands out. The fruit machine inspired theme might seem too generic for some, but look past the surface. You’ll find an entertaining release, with flexibility when it comes to pace and volatility.

With Wild symbols and a Gamble feature, you can get wins in the base game, but most wins come from the Hold the Jackpot feature. The 15,000x Super Grand Jackpot is bound to raise some eyebrows. Even the 2,500x Grand Jackpot is not bad compared to many similar releases.

Sizzling Bells™ Slot Features

The wild symbol substitutes for all regular pay symbols, but has no value of its own. There is also a blue star scatter symbol that pays when 3 to 5 land anywhere in view. This awards 2, 10 or 50 x your stake, respectively, while the regular fruit symbols pay between 0.6 to 2 x your stake for 5-oak. The red 7 is the sole premium symbol, and it pays 20x your stake for 5 of a kind.

The Bell Bonus symbols land with multiplier values up to 15x, and some come with a countdown number of 5. These remain frozen in place for 5 spins, increasing your chances of triggering the Hold the Jackpot feature.

You need at least 6 bonus symbols in view to trigger the Hold the Jackpot bonus round, and the triggering bonus/cash symbols become sticky on the lower half of the 6x5 grid with 30 positions. Only regular cash symbols will land on the lower half, and each new non-blank symbol becomes sticky while resetting the respins tally to 3 again.

All cash symbols that land on the bottom half unlock the corresponding positions on the upper half of the grid, making room for the Special Bell/bonus symbols to appear. These come with cash/multiplier values of 25, 50, 150 and 250 x your stake, and multiple special bell symbols of the same type can land.

If you manage to fill the bottom half of the grid with bonus/cash symbols, you win the Grand Jackpot worth 2,500x your stake. Fill the top half of the grid, and you win the Super Grand Jackpot worth 15,000x your stake, but only one jackpot can be won during the feature. Also, if you land a jackpot, the regular cash symbol values are not added to your total.

As usual, you can choose between 3 Volatility Levels in the base game, and the game speed also comes with 3 choices. Non-UK players can purchase the Hold the Jackpot feature from the in-game menu, and it will cost you 50, 100 or 300 x your stake for the low, standard or high volatility version, respectively.

With the turbo maxed out, you can plow through tons of spins in a very short amount of time, while the lowest setting is for those who want to savor each spin.

The base game is mostly a grind, but the countdown bonus symbols can be helpful in triggering the Hold the Jackpot feature. Unlocking positions that can land more lucrative symbols adds a bit of excitement, and the 15,000x jackpot is certainly more attractive than what you get in many similar releases. The 2,500x might feel like a consolation prize in comparison, but it’s still decent enough to raise your pulse when you close in on it.
