Shamrock Miner Review
It’s not too often you get so many popular tropes rolled into one, but Shamrock Miner manages to combine the popular Irish Luck theme with the equally popular mining theme. In addition, the game is built around the ultra-popular cash prize collect concept, but you’re not dealing with a straight up copycat here.
We are used to far better visuals, but if you can look past the exterior there is a pretty strong game underneath. The 5,000x potential is a decent selling point in that regard, and so is the ability to collect prizes in all stages with a random multiplier to boot. The upgrade trail enhances the bonus round by expanding the grid, increasing the multipliers and awarding extra spins.
Shamrock Miner Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 50 and 200 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Leprechaun Wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete wins. What’s more, the Wild is also the Collector symbol in this game, and it collects all present money symbols when it appears at the same time.
The Cash Symbols come with prizes up to 50x your stake, and it’s worth noting that both cash symbols and wild collectors can appear on all 5 reels. In addition, a random multiplier of x1, x2, x4 and x10 can boost any collected cash symbol win.
The Bonus Round triggers from 3, 4 or 5 dynamite scatters anywhere in view, and this gives you 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively. The Collector Wilds work the same, except that the wilds are now also collected in the mining cart meter above the grid.
Every 4 wilds collected awards +10 extra spins, and it also increases the random cash symbol multiplier. You can get up to an x30 multiplier at best, and every 4 wilds collected adds +1 row as well. The maximum number of rows is 7, and you need to fill 12 carts to achieve the maximum multiplier. Wilds come with x1, x2 and x3 multipliers, as well.
The 200 Spins Shamrock Miner Slot Experience
You get to see a bit of the base game, before we trigger the bonus round close to the 1-minute mark. We were lacking in Irish Luck this time it seems, so the feature lasted only for a short minute, or so. Anyway, you can check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
We really hope what’s on display here is not representative of the new look. Truth be told, Shamrock Miner comes across as the first attempt from some new and inexperienced team the otherwise experienced developer has hired to reduce the workload. Visually, it’s well below what we’ve learned to expect, and we also don’t like that you cannot play with a clean £1 stake.
The gameplay itself is not too shabby however, but the influence is obvious to any experienced punter. The fact that wild collectors can land anywhere, and that you can get a random multiplier boost, lifts the experience to a new level. The bonus round is still very hit or miss, and in our case it was definitely a miss. Leprechaun and mining slot lovers now have a decent alternative, and the 5,000x potential is certainly competitive enough.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Cash Collect w/ random multiplier up to x10 | Visually below par |
