Rumble Ratz Megaways Review
It’s well established by now that the developers like to do things their own way, and Rumble Ratz Megaways is a perfect example of that trait. It’s not like any other Megaways engine game out there, not least since the grid comes across as static most of the time. K-Cash symbols are needed to expand the reels one position at the time, and 46,656 is the most win ways you can hope for.
Maxing out reels awards whatever K-Cash prize has accumulated above it. The rats are busy in their cheese-stealing operation, while an angry cat is sneaking around trying to catch them. The audiovisuals are decent enough for an unusual theme, and the bonus round is all about accumulating cash prizes by resetting the spin tally and building the total win K-Cash multiplier.
Rumble Ratz Megaways Slot Features
The premium rat symbols pay between 3 and 5 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the cheese Wild symbol substitute for pay symbols to help complete wins. Wilds can land on reels 2 to 5 in the base game, and reels 2 to 6 in the bonus round.
You always get at least 4,096 win ways, but the megaways don’t change randomly per spin as you might be used to. Instead, you get blocker tiles covering the upper parts of the reels, and K-Cash symbols that are collected may also unblock a position. K-Cash symbols accumulate prizes above each reel, and landing a K-Cash reset symbol when a reel is maxed out at 6 positions awards the cash prize. This also resets the reel to 4 open positions again.
The Bonus Round triggers from 3+ scatters, and you also win up to 18.75x from the triggering spin depending on how many scatters you landed. You win 3 starting free spins either way though, and the reels start out with 2 positions blocked per reel. One blocker is removed per K-cash symbol that lands, and the K-cash value is also added to the above-reel prize.
The respins tally is reset to 3 again for each blocker tile you remove, and maxing out a reel by removing both blocker tiles progresses you along the multiplier meter. It starts at x1, and can go as high as x10. When you run out of spins the K-Cash prizes are summed up, and then the sum total is boosted by the K-Cash multiplier you have achieved.
Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can take advantage of the HyperBonus feature. It comes with 3 bonus buy options, and you can pay 60x, 100.4x or 140.6x your stake to get 3 free spins with K-Cash multipliers that can go as high as x4, x7 or x10, respectively.
The 200 Spins Rumble Ratz Megaways Slot Experience
You get a decent taste of the base game, before we purchase the top-tier bonus round at 1:16 into the 2:55-minute highlights video. As you probably have gathered, the feature didn’t last for all that long. However, you can still see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
It’s hard not to think that the developer could’ve saved whatever fee they paid for the Megaways license, as Rumble Ratz Megaways is so different from what most associate with this engine that it’s almost unrecognizable. This is good in one way, of course, as the game most certainly sticks out from the crowd. However, you get static reels most of the time, with occasional upgrades via K-Cash symbols.
The K-Cash prize system keeps you busy in the base game, but it will seldom amount to anything too significant. Everything is taken up several notches in the bonus round though. At least it can be, depending on what kind of multiplier you achieve. Sometimes the feature is over in a blink, other times it keeps building hopefully all the way to the 5,000x win cap. This is probably not a Megaways release for everyone, but full marks for daring to be different.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| K-Cash symbols remove blocker tiles | The 5,000x potential is below average for this engine |
| K-Cash prizes accumulate above each reel | Beware of adjustable RTP ranges |
| Max out reels to win the K-Cash prize above | |
| FS w/ multiplier upgrade system up to x10 |
If you enjoy Rumble Ratz Megaways Slot you should also try:
Machina Megaways - is the first and only previous Megaways release from the developer, and it comes with up to 46,656 ways to win. You can land 3 different jackpots in all stages of the game, and the bonus round comes with a 26,600x potential. The futuristic cyborg theme is nicely done, so you might wanna check it out.
Pushy Cats - is a feline-focused release from another developer, and you get sticky wilds respins when wilds land. This may take you all the way to the bonus round, which comes with bouncer modifiers and walking wilds. The max win is 20,000x your stake, and it’s one to try if you like oddball games.
Pile 'Em Up - is a nintendo-style release from another developer, and the magnet symbol collects coin values that may also be boosted by an increasing multiplier. You get more of the same in the bonus round, and the max win is 7,500x your stake.
