The problem with the casino theme is that it’s hard to escape the glossy and generic look, but then again, most brick and mortar casinos look similar as well. Rising Rewards is a typical installment in the genre, but this release does have a few aces up its sleeve. Loyalty pays in this game, for one, as both the 5 jackpots, as well as your next bonus round win multiplier, keep rising as you play. Hence the title; Rising Rewards™.
They rise slowly, but steadily, however, but at least you know that something good is coming your way eventually. The Jackpot Wheel can land you prizes up to £10,000, while the overall max win is 5,000x your stake. You can start with up to an x15 win multiplier in the bonus round, but it does not apply to the jackpots. Overall, Rising Rewards is an okay way to kill some time, but it’s not really a game that leaves a lasting impression.
Rising Rewards Slot Features
The premium symbols pay between 2 and 8 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the fiery red lucky number 7 is the top-tier symbol. The Wild symbol can appear on reels 2, 3, and 4 only, and it steps in for any pay symbol to help complete and/or improve line wins. The Wild does not hold any value of its own in Rising Rewards slot, however.
The Jackpot Trigger symbol comes with a polished diamond set against a golden disc, and you have a chance at triggering the Jackpot Wheel feature every time the Jackpot Trigger symbol appears. All 5 of the jackpots you can win are increased by 0.5x each time the symbol lands, and the awarded jackpot resets to its initial value. The Rising Rewards Free Spins Multiplier Meter can be seen up to the right, and it can be increased also during base game play. You need to land scatters on exactly 4 reels to increase the multiplier by 0.5x, and it can go as high as x10 in the base game. It’s active only in the bonus round, however, and it resets to x1 after the feature has played out.
The Bonus Round triggers when you land at least 1 scatter symbol on each of the reels, and they spell out B-O-N-U-S when they do. You get a minimum of 6 free spins, and each triggering scatter awards +1 additional spin or +1 added to the multiplier. The multiplier can reach a maximum of x15 as you enter the bonus round. It applies to all line wins, and you can retrigger the feature. Each retrigger awards 1x your stake boosted by the multiplier.
Review Summary
We have seen similar blinged up casino themed slots many times before, of course, but the 3-4-5-4-3 reel setup is a bit unusual. It’s like a podium for the jackpots on display, with the top-tier Ultra Jackpot located above the highest 5-positions reel. The jackpots can build up to decent levels as well, or at least the top 2 jackpots, but it might take a while to get there. The starting levels are okay, but hardly something that will make any kind of splash in this day and age.
Both the jackpots and your next bonus round multiplier will keep rising as long as you play though, which is a decent motivator. The symbol values aren’t really that high, but it helps that Rising Rewards comes with 720 win ways that pay both ways. This can land you solid payouts if you rack up a decent multiplier for the bonus round, and up to 5,000x your stake is possible. Despite some innovative elements, or mostly the rising reward multiplier thing, Rising Rewards does not really stick out. It’s an okay shelf-filler that will soon be forgotten.
