Sequel Review

Two years after the release of the original slot, a sequel arrives. This game follows the same concept that was laid down in the first part - the game revolves around several free spins bonuses. However, the features are somewhat weird.

Much like the original slot, the follow-up is terrific on the outside and sports supreme graphics and animations. The actions take place in some ruined city, which serves as the backdrop to the reels, though, this game is much darker than its predecessor. The soundtrack is surely a highlight, as an energic beat keeps you in the right mood during the gameplay and immerses you into the action.

The slot plays out on a 6x4 reel set producing 25 win lines, and players drop in by setting bets from $0.25 to $50 per spin. The volatility is medium, while the RTP is whisker beneath the average at 95.38%. However, you should get your returns pretty according to the hit rate of 43.1%, which means wins should occur approximately every 2-3 spins. As we head over to the paytable, we see 11 regular symbols that are split into lows, mids, and highs. Slot Features

As alluded to earlier, the slot focuses on free spins, which are the key big payouts. However, let's start walking you through the basics. The Rockfall feature is available at any stage of the game - whenever you score a win, all winning symbols get removed from the grid to allow new ones to tumble down and fill empty spaces. The process continues until there are no more winning combinations in view.

Keep an eye on Dynamite and Barrel symbols, which are Scatters and play into the Free Spins. If 4 or more Dynamite or Barrel symbols appear anywhere in view during the base game, they contribute to the corresponding meter. However, if one meter gets filled, the accumulation progress on the other one is reduced. Moreover, the accumulation process is linked to each bet level.

When 12 Dynamite symbols are collected on the Blow! Free Spins meter, players receive 15 free games. During the bonus, all Dynamite symbols drop down and turn sticky. All in all, there's not much to say about this game. It's an enjoyable game with great design, solid math, and engaging features. However, these features can play against you. The Barrels and Dynamites stack on the reels and bring no good until you trigger the Wild modifier. However, you're not guaranteed to do so, so the bonus symbols can just take up half of the grid and do nothing but block winning combinations from being made. Kind of a double-edged sword to say so.
