Revolver Gaming is a company that has some interesting releases in its catalog. Given that, we decided to take a closer look at the Rainbow Stacks slot that they launched in March 2023. Is this 5x3 game with 25 paylines any good, however? Well, let’s find out!

Thematically, Rainbow Stacks utilizes your classic Irish theme with all its basic tropes. Its graphics are incredibly lush and colorful, however, and that’s something that you naturally don’t automatically get with this type of slots. We’re really glad that the production values are so high here, however, as it does make the game stand out from the long list of Irish-themed slots that have been released over the years.

Mathematically speaking, Rainbow Stacks is a medium volatility slot with a 2,000x jackpot. You can dive into it for stakes between £0.25 and £250 per spin, and it comes in two RTP versions. While the worse one has a disappointing RTP of just 94.5%, the better one has a bang on average RTP of 96%.

As far as classic pay symbols are concerned, there are 8 in total, and they are split evenly into 4 low pays and 4 high pays. For the former, there are your usual card suits, which pay up to 0.6x your bet for a set of five. Then, there are also pipes, horseshoes, four-leaf clovers, and leprechauns. Leprechauns pay out even in sets of two, and you’ll get 4x your bet for a set of five.

For specials, then, there are Wilds, Scatters, and Pot symbols. Wilds can appear on reels 2-5 and substitute for any of the pay symbols in winning combos, while Scatters appear on reels 2-4 and trigger free spins. Finally, Pot symbols are there to trigger the Jackpot feature.

Landing 3 Scatters triggers the Free Spins feature with a set of 8 free spins, and you’ll get an extra free spin for each and every Scatter that appears on the reels during the feature itself.

To get to the Jackpot feature, you have to land 2 Black Pot symbols and one Coloured Pot symbol. The feature starts with 3 chances to reveal pots with multipliers between 1x and 20. Revealing a pot resets your number of picks back to 3. Once you run out of picks, you’ll get all the revealed pots, and you can also win the given progressive jackpot that corresponds with the triggering Coloured Pot symbol by revealing enough pots. You need to reveal just 6 pots to get the Purple Pot jackpot (the Mini jackpot), while getting the Red Pot jackpot (the Grand jackpot) requires a set of 9 pots.

If you manage to trigger the Jackpot feature during free spins, you might get up to 3 extra picks once when you first run out of picks.
