Prospector Wilds Review
Prospector Wilds is a debut slot game from a partner studio. As the title implies, the developers decided to take on a popular genre, transporting players deep below the surface to dig out wins via wilds, tumbles, and multipliers.
The game makes use of a goldmine theme, which we’ve seen quite a few times. The actions take place underneath the ground, with the reels set in a backdrop of a timber arch. The reels themselves are made up of classic mining symbols that we’ve come across in many other similar-styled games. Pretty common look indeed.
The math model isn’t too impressive as well, sporting below-average figures. The default RTP is 94.6%, which is beneath the standard value. Plus, the game also comes in a 88% version, which is just awful. The maximum win is equally disappointing, being capped at 2,500x the bet. One thing that brightens things up is the medium variance with a 26.72% hit frequency, meaning that wins at least should theoretically occur fairly often. Finally, possible bet levels range from £0.2 to £100 per spin, which should suit most.
The Prospector Wilds slot plays across a traditional 5-reel, 3-row setup, producing 20 fixed win lines. As alluded to above, the grid consists of familiar symbols, namely gold ore, plates, shovels, pickaxes, lanterns, carts, gold bars, and a jolly miner. You need to land at least 3 of the same symbols adjacently on the reels from left to right to achieve a payout, except for the top-paying miner, who needs only two. Five-symbol wins are worth from 2x to 100x your bet.
Prospector Wilds Slot Features
Although the word ‘Wilds’ is mentioned in the name, don’t expect them to be crucial for the gameplay. Wild symbols here don’t have any special functions except for substituting for regular symbols in winning combinations.
Central to the game is the Cascading Wins mechanic, linked to the growing multiplier feature. Whenever a payout is scored, all winning symbols explode and get removed from the reels. Then, the remaining symbols drop to the lowest available positions and new ones tumble down from above to fill the gaps. If new wins are possible, the process goes on.
A multiplier grows with each consecutive tumble, increasing in ascending order to 2x, 3x, and finally 5x. After it reaches the maximum value, it stays locked for all subsequent tumbles. However, the multiplier gets reset back to the initial value between the spins.
Review Summary
There’s not a ton else to say about the Prospector Wilds slot, which appears to be quite a mediocre game, not really worth taking your time. The theme really lacks depth, and the gameplay is super straightforward with hardly any frills. Given the features though, it would be better called Prospector Tumbles since Wilds play the least important part here. Finally, the math model also leaves much to be desired, so there aren’t basically any reasons why you should feel drawn to spin the reels on it.
