Review of the Game
The Game is a release with a twist. This game developer is new, so there’s every reason to be excited for this new launch. Is it any good, however, or is it actually a missed opportunity from the young team? Let’s find out!
Looking from afar, it’s somewhat hard to be thrilled by what has been released to this day. Our catalog has some games from the company so far, and most of them are mediocre at best. Still, we’ve noticed some potential in the team, which is why I’m looking at this game in this review!
Setting-wise, the Game is an old-school game that also uses the classic 5x3 setup with 20 betways. It’s nothing new under the sun, as you’d expect, and, unfortunately, I’m not particularly impressed by the slot’s presentation either.
It’s by no means awful, mind you, but it lacks both in terms of ideas and general polish. The slot’s user interface, for example, is a bit too blocky, and its paytable and instructions are just an eyesore. These are just details, of course, but throw in the fact that the game’s main graphics are only basic, and you’ve got a combination that nobody can be satisfied with.
It is worth mentioning, though, that the Game runs well on iOS and Android devices, and that you can therefore enjoy it whenever you want and wherever you are. All you need is a decent internet connection, and you’re all set to be on your way!
There are 10 symbols in total in the Game, and the paytable starts with a couple of card rank symbols. Card ranks go from Tens to Aces here, and they pay between 0.10x and 0.90x your bet per combination. Next, there are melons and cherries, which pay between 0.20x and 1.50x your bet per win, followed by strawberries, which pay between 0.50x and 3x your bet per combo.
Sevens are the slot’s top-paying symbols, and they are worth between 0.50x and 4x your bet per winning combination. Last but not least, there are also Wild symbols in the form of jokers. These symbols can substitute for any of the game’s regular pay symbols, and they also pay out 5x your bet in a full set.
The mathematical model of the Game combines a high volatility level with a 25.94% hit frequency. The slot’s theoretical RTP then clocks in at 96.20%, which is more than solid, and you can play for stakes between €0.10 and €100 per spin. The only downside, then, is that the biggest win is only 1,000x your bet.
Features
Alright, let’s now move on to the game’s gameplay features - there’s actually quite a lot to go through!
Cash Spree
Kicking things off, there’s the titular Cash Spree feature that allows you to land special Cash Spree symbols on reels 1 and 2 in order to win interesting cash values as high as 100x your bet. It’s not too complex, but the feature triggers fairly regularly, and it’s easy to see why it was made the centerpiece of this release.
Jackpots
Next, there are 5 jackpots displayed above the slot’s reels. A jackpot is awarded whenever you get a Wild involved in a five-of-a-kind winning combination, and you’ll get the jackpot above that Wild symbol. The jackpot values aren’t incredible, but, on the other hand, they are much easier to win that what you traditionally expect from jackpots of any kind.
Bonus Wheel
As you play, you can stumble upon Bonus Wheel symbols that increase your Bonus Wheel Multiplier by 0.50x and award you a chance of triggering the Bonus Wheel feature.
The Bonus Wheel feature itself is a classic wheel of fortune mini game that will net you one of five possible prizes, which will then be multiplied by the Bonus Wheel Multiplier that you’ve accumulated in the base game beforehand. The most valuable wedge of the wheel of fortune is worth 100x your bet, and you’re always going to walk away with at least 10x your stake.
Free Spins
Aside from the aforementioned Bonus Wheel symbols, there are also + 1 Spins symbols that you accumulate in your Free Spins counter. It starts at 5, and you can get it to up to 15 over time. You’ll receive the displayed number of free spins as soon as you find 3 Free Spins symbols on the slot’s middle three reels, and the actual free spins come with one nice specialty as well.
You see, you can collect unique Star symbols during free spins and transform high-paying pay symbols into Cash Spree symbols as you do, increasing your Cash Spree chances in the process. It’s a nice dynamic, and it makes you want to accumulate as many free spins before the actual trigger!
Pros And Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Interesting and varied gameplay | Unimpressive theme and presentation |
| Fun Cash Spree feature | Subpar win potential |
| 5 jackpots that aren’t that hard to win | Not particularly polished overall |
| Positive 96.20% RTP |
Our Verdict
All in all, this game is a bit of a mixed bag, and it’s pretty clear that the developer still has a long way to go before it becomes a truly mainstream slot developer. What we have here is a game with a couple of interesting gameplay twists, but also one that lacks a bit in terms of presentation and general polish.
With that in mind, I can recommend the game only to players that enjoy old-school themes and that prefer gameplay over audiovisuals. As for the developer itself, I’m certainly happy that they launched a game that delivers in at least one regard, but the team does need t make another major step forward in order to be able to compete with the top of the market.
If you’re looking for alternatives that deliver in all regards, I have two interesting suggestions. First, there’s another similar slot that is about as complex as these games can be. It just buries its players with a gameplay bonanza, and its win potential appears to be much larger than the one in this game. Second, there’s another slot that promises a much calmer and polished experience.
In any case, if you’re at least slightly interested in how the game feels and plays, go ahead and check out the demo that we have installed at the top of this review. Just scroll up and start spinning – it’s completely free!
