The original Raptor DoubleMax is a memorable game, and while some subsequent releases haven't quite reached the same level, Pharaoh's Gaze DoubleMax offers a solid experience. Shadow Raiders MultiMax (also by Bang Bang Games) is better. You'll find vibrant ancient Egypt graphics, and the multiplier doubles with each dropdown win.

The doubling multiplier doesn't often progress far in the base game, but wilds appear to assist with each dropdown win. Collecting gems per reel can trigger 1 to 3 wilds, and filling all slots will fill the entire reel with wilds. The bonus round features a non-resetting doubling multiplier and extra gems before it begins. The 15,000x potential is good.

Pharaoh's Gaze DoubleMax Slot Features

Premium symbols pay between 2 and 5 times your stake for 5-of-a-kind wins, and Wild symbols can appear on all 5 reels. Wilds substitute for pay symbols, but not for the scatter symbol.

Winning symbols are removed using the Dropdown mechanic, and replaced by new symbols. A wild appears in a random empty position before each dropdown, continuing as long as you keep winning. The DoubleMax feature doubles the win multiplier per dropdown, resetting after a non-winning drop in the base game.

A Pharaoh Head sits above each reel, featuring 3 empty slots. Random symbols come with mini pharaoh gems, collected by the Pharaoh Head on the same reel. Filling all 3 slots highlights the reel for the following spin and dropdown sequence, spawning 1 to 3 wilds on highlighted reels per dropdown.

At least 3 golden jeweled scarab scatters trigger the Scarab Bonus Round, awarding 7 free spins. All collected Pharaoh Gems are carried over, and 6 gems are randomly assigned to empty collection slots before the bonus round. The DoubleMax multiplier doesn't reset during the feature, but resets upon returning to the base game.
