Energy is a prominent topic nowadays. Power Up isn't about any specific energy source, but the theme seems to revolve around different sources of power (like water, wind, fire, and nuclear).

This game is exciting, as each spin comes with random line win multipliers up to x500 in the main game. This allows for larger payouts in all stages, especially when the multipliers are enhanced in the bonus round. The 10,000x potential can be reached from a single line win during the feature, and you also get a minimum of x5 per line at all times. Power Up is fast-paced and unpredictable, and we found it entertaining.

Power Up Slot Features

The premium symbols, made of signs of different power sources like water, wind, fire, and nuclear, pay between 2 and 10 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins. There are no Wild symbols in this game, not in the base game nor in the bonus round.

The Paylines are listed with an empty slot next to each on the left-hand side, and random multipliers appear in a random amount of these payline slots per base game spin. These multipliers will boost any win on the corresponding payline, and the range of possible base game multipliers are as follows: x2, x5, x10, x100, x200, x300, x400, or x500.

The symbol that looks like an atom is the scatter, and you need 3, 4, or 5 in view to trigger the Bonus Round. This awards 3x your stake up front, as well as 10, 12, or 14 free spins, respectively. All paylines get at least an x5 multiplier attached per free spin, and higher multipliers will also appear on a random amount of paylines. The higher multipliers vary between x10, x100, x200, x300, x400, x500, or x1,000, and there is no way to retrigger the feature.

Finally, players can purchase the bonus round. The regular feature costs 100x the stake, and it comes with a minimum of x5 multipliers per payline. You can also pay 300x your stake for the Super FS round, and in this feature you get a minimum of x100 multipliers per payline.

Nothing too exciting happened for us in the base game. This is where we purchase and trigger the Super Bonus Round, and we got 4 triggering scatters. This gave us 12 super free spins.

Review Summary

We have to say that Power Up came across as capable and entertaining, and getting different line win multipliers per spin keeps you guessing. There aren’t too many other features to speak of in the base game though, but larger line win multipliers up to x500 is enough. Visually, the game isn’t super impressive perhaps, but the lightning bolt you get per win line is satisfying to watch.

The fact that you can land a 5,000x win from a single payline in the base game tells you all you need about how power-charged this thing is, and the single line win potential increases to 10,000x your stake in the bonus round. This is also the game’s win cap. The Super FS round seems like a no-brainer at first, as how can it go wrong with a minimum of x100 per win line. However, you soon realize that dead spins abound many times. Still, we found Power Up to be a game that’s well worth checking out, and the pace is excellent as well.
