This installment doesn't evolve the concept much, and PapayaPop has a 10,542x potential, low for the series. The Art Deco fruit theme is nice, and the game expands the grid via consecutive popwins. The bonus round enhances everything, especially the multiplier that increases per spin.
PapayaPop Features
Winning symbols are 'popped' from the grid, expanding the reels. New symbols fill the empty positions, creating new winning combos. This repeats, expanding the grid and increasing win ways. Each reel can expand from 3 to 6 rows in the base game, awarding up to 7,776 win ways (really 15,552 ways, due to the pay both ways engine).
The Bonus Round triggers when you max out all 5 reels with 6 rows, with a 2x starting multiplier. Gamble for more starting win ways up to 6,250, and a higher multiplier up to 5x, before the round starts. This involves a Gamble Wheel, risking losing the feature altogether.
You start with 3 lives, and the feature continues indefinitely. Non-winning spins remove one life, while winning spins reset the tally to 3. When all 3 lives are lost, the bonus round ends. The grid can increase with up to 9 rows per reel, equaling 118,098 win ways when maxed out.
The grid resets to the lowest row number between free spins, not the starting size. Maxing out the grid keeps it that way for the feature's remainder. The multiplier increases by +1 per free spin, regardless of wins. Maxing out the grid with 9 rows per reel increases the multiplier by +2 per spin, with no upper limit.
A Bonus Buy feature is included in certain jurisdictions. It costs 75x your stake to buy the bonus round, improvable via the Gamble Wheel. Otherwise, you start with a 2x multiplier and 486 win ways. The bonus round triggers organically once every 197 spins on average.

With nothing new, we nitpick the pace. Previous installments were slow in filling reel positions. This release addresses that.
However, there is a delay hitting the spin button, and between each popwin filler. It's an awkward experience, hammering the spin button with turbo on in frustration. The concept struggles to break into the mainstream, and this gameplay doesn't help.
