NSYNC Pop Review
Not everyone remembers that Justin Timberlake’s claim to fame was the popular 90s boy band NSYNC, and not everyone remembers the band at all for that matter. Someone clearly does however, which is a bit surprising given their obvious taste for grimmer and darker rock music. NSYNC Pop hardly fits in with the rest of their branded rock slot range, to put it mildly, and there’s nothing here for non-fans.
The game is clearly inspired by one of their hit songs, Pop, with the DJ booth placed at the center with the 2-3-4-3-2 grid hovering above. The concert setting is about as bland and soulless as the music the band produced, but fans will probably enjoy the reunion and seeing Timberlake’s face and charismatic persona on the reels. Mystery Pop symbols take center stage in all stages, and up to 5,000x can be won from the final FS round Encore Spin with 2,400 win ways.
NSYNC Pop Slot Features
The 5 band member premium symbols, Justin, JC, Lance, Joey and Chris, pay between 6 and 10 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins. The band shot Wild pays the same as the top-tier Justin Timberlake symbol, and it also steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete wins. Special ‘Pop’ symbols will appear now and then, and these serve as mystery symbols that turn into the same randomly chosen matching symbol (including wilds).
The Free Spins Go Pop! bonus round triggers when you land 3 golden ‘N’ scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4, and this awards 8 free spins. You get an extra row of Pop symbols above and below the regular grid, and these are ‘popped’ when a pop symbol lands on the same reel. Popped positions from the top and bottom reels become active as regular positions after the pop mystery symbol feature has played out.
This, of course, increases the number of win ways, and popping all 10 extra positions gives you a maxed out 4-5-6-5-4 grid with 2,400 ways to win. In addition, Wild Pop symbols may appear in the bonus round, and these become sticky wilds for the duration of the feature. The Pop Wild symbols also activate Pop symbols from the top and/or bottom Pop rows.
If you manage to max out the grid by activating/removing all 10 Pop symbols from the extra rows, the Encore Spin feature awaits when your regular free spins are used up. This gives you a final extra spin with all sticky wilds in place, and only NSYNC band member premium symbols on the reel strips.
The 200 Spins NSYNC Pop Slot Experience
You get a brief taste of the base game, before we trigger the bonus round at 0:36 into the 3-minute highlights video. We managed to activate and remove all the Pop symbols from the top and bottom row, which secured us the Encore Spin in the end. Check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.
Review Summary
Boy bands are either loved or hated, as there really is no middle ground, and the same will therefore apply to NSYNC Pop slot. This is far from the usual hard/heavy rock slot they usually churn out, where players may enjoy the music even without being diehard fans. You have to be exactly that to enjoy this release however, or perhaps just madly in love with Timberlake. It’s just not convincing in the feature department, and the vibe is overall bland.
Sure, there is a hint of 90s nostalgia hanging over this production, if ephemeral list pop hits is indeed anything to be nostalgic about, but this hardly comes across as a pet project. The Pop symbols shine a bit more in the bonus round than in the base game, admittedly, and removing them all didn’t seem all that hard. The Encore Spin offers a decent “grand finale”, which theoretically can crack the 5,000x potential in one fell swoop.

If you appreciate NSYNC Pop Slot you should also try:
Guns N' Roses - was launched all the way back in 2016, but it’s still one of the most popular rock slots ever released. This branded effort was a pioneer in the genre, and you get familiar hits on the set list, tons of exciting features, and an overall experience that rivals a real live concert.
KISS Reels of Rock - is a hard-hitting installment in rock slot range, and it plays out on 2-3-4-4-3-2 grid with 576 ways to win. The audiovisual experience is excellent in a way that even “neutral” players can enjoy, and you can choose between 5 bonus rounds with a max win of 50,000x your stake.
Gods of Rock - is a non-branded rock slot, and it plays out in rock ‘n’ roll heaven. Of course, they’ve got “one hell of a band”, with Lucifer himself as the lead singer, and reel multipliers are increased by charged wilds that explode symbols to fill bonus meters. This eventually leads to the bonus round, where you can win up to 20,000x your stake.
