The first feature worth noting is the cascading symbols. Each time a win occurs, the winning symbols in the combination explode and new symbols cascade from above to fill the empty spaces and potentially form more winning combinations. If the Stacked Wild lands in full view during the base game, a respin is awarded and if only two-thirds of the Wild is visible on reel 5, then at random, it may nudge into full view. Then, the Walking Wild effect comes into play, and the reels lock in position while Nefertiti moves one reel at a time to the left to potentially form more winning combinations till she reaches reel 1, plus with each win, the multiplier increases. The key to unlocking the Free Spins is to collect 5 Scatter symbols. On the top left of the reels is the Scatter collection meter. During a single spin, any Scatters that land are added to the collection meter and if any cascades occur and more Scatter symbols land, they too get added to the meter. If you don’t collect all 5 scatters during a spin, then the meter resets. When you do trigger the Free Spins feature, you are awarded 15 Free Spins with a 5x multiplier. If you collect an additional 5 Scatters during the Free Spins, you will receive an additional 5 spins. The real magic of the Free Spins is the Stacked Walking Wild which moves randomly to a different reel with each spin for the entire feature.

We set our bet amount, activated the auto-spins, and let the reels start working their magic. Every few spins, a small combination would come up and we won some minor amounts. Scatters would land fairly regularly and the meter would start to fill and our anticipation would build in the hope of filling the meter. It took a fair number of spins till multiple cascades took place, which brought enough Scatters and awarded 15 Free Spins, plus the multiplier was on 5x, which was a great starting point for the Free Spins session. The Free Spins then played out with the Nefertiti Stacked Walking Wild moving from reel to reel. While the Free Spins session didn’t quite deliver the winnings we hoped for, we still banked a reasonable 33x our bet amount.

However, the developers have done a superb job. They have clearly put a lot of effort into this game to give it an edge and it wouldn’t surprise us if it becomes a firm favourite amongst players that enjoy Egyptian themes and even those who don’t.
The graphics, animations and features are excellent and you don’t need to study the help file for hours to grasp the concepts. Within just a few spins, the mechanics of the game become clear and the smoothness of everything makes playing thoroughly enjoyable. Probably the only small criticisms, but certainly not a deal-breaker, is the low payouts for regular symbols and no payouts for Scatters. This means, if you land 5 regular symbols on a betway, you won’t be breaking the bank, but when the Wilds and multipliers take effect it really boosts the payouts. The other small drawback is that unlike most slots where Scatters have some kind of payout, in this slot they are only there for triggering the Free Spins.
