This is a small company that’s just starting out, and the Mystical Forest slot is actually only its second release. There are 10 pay symbols in total in Mystical Forest, and you can divide them into 4 low pays and 6 high pays. Then, there are thematic symbols with mushrooms, nuts, boards, bears, wolves, and character symbols. Character symbols are worth the most, and they pay out even in sets of just two. For special symbols, there are Wilds and Scatters, which is your usual combination. While Wilds can substitute for other symbols to complete winning combinations, Scatters are there to trigger free spins.

Your goal in the base game is to find 7 or more Scatter symbols. This will trigger the Free Spins feature, and you’ll start with a number of golden frames equal to the number of triggering symbols. After each free spin, one random golden frame will be removed from the board, and the feature will go on for as long as there are golden frames in view.

Symbols that land in golden frames are automatically collected, and you’ll get a full combo win and an increase in your global win multiplier as soon as you collect five matching symbols. Extra Scatters create extra golden frames, and you can also upgrade golden frames to allow them to collect more symbols by landing Scatters in golden frames. That sounds quite complex at first, and it actually is, at least compared to most free spins out there!

Although Mystical Forest does look like a very simple game at first glance, its free spins are actually more complex than you’d imagine. Overall, it’s a solid release and we can only hope that they’ll be able to build on this game going forward!
