Money Track 2 Review

Does a wild west train with steampunk characters sound familiar to anyone? The answer is most likely yes if you’ve been playing online slots for more than a few minutes. The inspiration for Money Track 2 is quite obvious. The similarity is skin deep, however, at least to a certain degree, as neither the base game nor the bonus round can be said to be copycat efforts.

You get a cash prize collect system in the base game, as reel multipliers keep building to be collected by the Train Heist symbol. The Cash Bonus is a hold and win style feature with 4 Enhancer symbols, and 3 of them must be unlocked. You collect wins in the feature by filling the bottom row, although the Enhancers are active no matter where they sit. This can lead to solid payouts up to 50,000x your stake.

Money Track 2 Slot Features

The 4 character premium symbols pay between 5 and 12.5 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the sheriff badge Wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins. The Wild can appear anywhere, and it pays the same as the top-tier character symbol if you land a win consisting of only wild symbols.

You can also land Train Symbols in the base game, and they add +1 to the multiplier meter above the relevant reel or reels. The multiplier collection meters reset when no new train symbols are added to them, however, and you need the Train Heist symbol in view to collect the total amount accumulated in the multiplier meters. This becomes the bet multiplier that pays the total win, and all meters reset after the payout.

The Cash Bonus triggers when you land 6+ Train symbols in view, and you start at level 1 with the primary Cash Bonus Enhancer activated. Train symbols that appear in the base game unlock new enhancers progressively, and here is an overview of what you can expect:

• Enhancer 1 - comes with a bet multiplier of 2x to 30x.
• Enhancer 2 - comes with a bet multiplier of 2x to 50x, and adds its value to all present cash symbols.
• Enhancer 3 - comes with a bet multiplier of 2x to 80x, and doubles all present multiplier prizes.
• Enhancer 4 - comes with a bet multiplier of 2x to 100x, in addition to collecting the prize values of all other bet multiplier symbols.

You start with 3 spins in the tally, and both train symbols and bonus enhancer symbols drop to the lowest possible position on the grid when they appear. You need to fill the bottom row with cash and/or enhancer symbols to collect all involved prizes, and the bottom row symbols are then removed as the spin tally resets to 3 each time.

This causes other present symbols to drop down, and enhancer symbols will do their thing even if they are not on the bottom row. If you manage to fill the 2 bottom rows at the same time, both rows pay and this also unlocks the next enhancer.

Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can purchase the Cash Bonus with 2 unlocked Enhancers for 75x the stake. You can also pay 125x your stake for 3 unlocked Enhancers, or 200x your stake for 4 unlocked Enhancers. In addition, there is a random option that costs 115x your stake.

Review Summary

There is no denying that copycatting is a huge part of the online slots business, and any creative industry in general. It’s a well known fact that even Shakespeare borrowed tons of material from different sources, but some efforts stand out as more blatant and shameless than others. Money Track 2 falls into that category, as both the name and the style of the game is extremely similar to some popular titles.

This is not the first time a game has been inspired by other successful slots, and it’s a shame, cause Money Track 2 is actually not all that similar when it comes to the gameplay. The Train Heist feature is original enough, and the bonus round is far from being a clone as well. Money Track 2 is actually a pretty solid release that would’ve been better served with a more original theme.
