Miss Wildfire Review
If this game was a movie, the following could be the logline: Burned-out alchemist, Edgar Woodart, has given up all hope at creating gold, until the female fire spirit, Miss Wildfire, takes pity on his soul. Reading the brief backstory of this game, we cannot help but think about the cult TV-show, Twin Peaks, where the mantra “Fire walk with me” was central. Mr Woodart says something similar to invoke the spirit of the flames: “An eternity alone, fire is my only friend”.
The theme of Miss Wildfire is far more lighthearted than it might sound like from the above though, and the visual style is cartoonish and humorous. It’s all about igniting those log symbols here, which again reminds us of the “Log Lady” in said Twin Peaks: “The tender boughs of innocence burn first”. Seeing a fire get out of control has seldom been more fun, and you’ll definitely get your firebug tendencies stimulated in this game.
Miss Wildfire Features
The regular wild symbol is a flame that will ignite all adjacent log symbols, which turns them into wild symbols also. Then you have the Miss Wildfire symbol from the game title, and she is a walking wild that initiates respins. Miss Wildfire symbols move on step to the left per respin, and any log symbol she comes into contact with will also turn wild. The respins feature ends when Miss Wildfire walks off the leftmost reel.
There is also a Super Miss Wildfire symbol, pink/purple in color, and when she lands all log symbols become sticky on the reels. She will trigger the respins feature also, and move one step to the left per spin. All logs she comes into contact with turn wild, and during respins all reels with bonus scatters will also be held in place to increase your bonus round chances.
You trigger said bonus round when you land 3, 4, 5 or 6 bonus scatters anywhere in sight. You will get at least 7 free spins this way, and up to 4 Miss Wildfire symbols starting out on the rightmost reel. These move one step to the left as usual, and the bonus round goes on as long as you have at least 1 Miss Wildfire (or Super Miss Wildfire) symbol on the reels.
Log symbols will now be collected in a Meter on the right-hand side, and each time you level up a low value royal symbol is transformed to the log symbol. A new set of Miss Wildfire symbols are also added to the rightmost reels again, effectively retriggering the feature. When all the royal symbols have been upgraded to logs, you will no longer collect symbols or retrigger the feature.

Review Summary
A decent enough concept has been created, and the backstory adds some “fuel to the fire”, so to speak. The game will definitely appeal to the pyromaniac in you, and it’s oddly satisfying to see the logs go up in flames as Miss Wildfire does her thing. There is enough going on to keep the base game entertaining, and things can really heat up in the bonus round.
It all depends on how lucky you are with the level up feature, but when things go right it’s a blast. The reels will pretty soon be flooded with bone dry firewood, and having 3 or 4 Miss Wildfire wilds walking across the reels can really be a sight to behold. The 5,000x potential is solid for a medium variance game, and the math model has been tweaked for this release.
