Visually, the game doesn’t look like something you would take too seriously, but the math model underneath is pretty tight. The animations are humorous enough, and the 3 bonus games are kind of fun. However, you cannot win all that much from the pick’em bonus game or the bonus trail, and getting the free spins round is not all that easy because of all the “competing” features.
You can place bets between 20p and £6 per spin here, which is a pretty narrow bet range. High rollers will probably not be very impressed, but it’s good enough for most casual players. The big highlight is the jousting wilds feature which only happens during the bonus round. Overall, this is an entertaining title with enough going for it to justify a spin or two once in a while.
Medieval Money Features
The archery target is the bonus scatter here, and you need to land 3 anywhere on the same spin to trigger the Archery Picker bonus game. You will select 1 out of the 9 targets, and this gives you 1 out of 4 random bonus features.
You got the Money Bags Picker where you get to choose 1 out of 3 money bags to reveal a cash prize between 2x and 50x your stake. Then you have the Spell Picker where a Wizard offers you 5 mystery spell bottles. Each bottle pays between 2x and 100x, and you can reject bottles you’re unhappy with up to 5 times.
There is also the Dragon’s Path bonus game where a bonus wheel determines how many steps you move along the trail. You can move either 1, 2 or 3 steps each time, but if the wheel lands on the skull the feature ends. The further you go, the bigger wins you can get, and you can win anywhere between 3x and 200x your stake in this feature. The grand prize is won by reaching the Dragon’s Treasure Hoard.
Finally, you have the Joust bonus round. You get 7 free spins here, and you’ll benefit from the Jousting Wilds Expansion feature. When the Red and Blue Knight Helmet wilds land on the same row, you’ll see the 2 knights joust on wooden horses. This game offers some pretty lighthearted medieval fun, and we got lucky enough to trigger the bonus round in our 200 spins test session. Medieval Money comes with cartoonish visuals and fun animations. While the game seemingly doesn’t take itself too seriously, the math model speaks a different language. The medium to high volatility is nothing to joke with, and neither is the max win potential of 25,000,000 coins.
The feature you really want here is the Joust Free Spins, as the 3 other features offer only relatively small wins up to 200x your stake. The key to bigger wins is the high value game logo symbol, and the equally high value wilds.
